T R I BUTE TO M Y TWIN SIST ER

My twin, sister, and best friend… words truly can’t express what you meant to me. We came into this world minutes apart and I always had the privilege of saying I am the oldest. It was meant to be that way so I could be the one who always looked out for you. I have so many great memories to keep in my heart. We laughed and cried together. We had a connection that was indescribable; we could feel each other miles away. Even when you didn’t feel your best, if I needed you, you were there. Farewell my bestie, you will never be forgotten. Some may not understand my strength and peace but it is only because I feel your strength and peace. Love you always, C

Jackie’s STORY

MISS ORANGE; SUNKIST; BIG RED

J

acquelyne Renee Carter Britt was born on December 11, 1966. A native of Miami, Florida, she attended Miami Central High School (Home of the Mighty Rockets). Jackie was a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle family from its beginning.

Jackie loved her family, friends and being a blessing to others in their time of need. She was known as Ms. Orange, Sunkist, Big Red, and one half of the Carol City Twins. Jackie’s dedication to the youth in her community was evident in her continuous involvement with the youth at Miami Carol City Senior High School as the President of the PTA. Jackie continued her involvement with the PTA even after her children’s tenure at the school. She had an infectious smile and her laughter would light up the room. If you knew Jackie, she was a jokester and you were never surprised by what she might say. She was the life of the party and made everyone around her laugh. Jackie’s strength in difficult times made her one of the strongest

individuals you would ever know. She was a mother to many and a friend to all. She received joy from seeing her kids and grand-kids happy. Also, she loved visiting and spending time with siblings. She was fabulous, prissy and sassy all in one. She was meticulous and very picky about her food and appearance. If you had the privilege of knowing her as a child, she had to be in charge of everything. (She had to be the mother or teacher or she was not playing, lol!). She is survived by her loving Mother Marion Walker Carter; Spouse Frederick Leon Britt; Children Travis L. Evans, Unika S. Carter and Alexis C. Britt; Sibling and their spouses- Tyrone Carter, Carolyn and Marvin Ash and Nina and George McKie; Grandchildren Jiselle, Terry and Alexander; a host of many Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and friends.

Her father Fred Carter and loving daughter Brianna Britt are in the presence of the Lord. She will be forever in our hearts and we know she is now happy, free, and at peace.

MELODY OF HOPE TRUST IN YOU

You did not create me to worry You did not create me to fear But You created me to worship - daily So I’m a leave it all right here You did not create me to worry You did not create me to fear But You created me to worship - daily So I’m a leave it all right here My hands are raised because I surrender Your will is what’s best for me I worship You because You’re Jehovah Jireh I bow before the King of Kings No more crying no more complaining I believe Your word is true Lord You promised never to leave me lonely So this is what I’m going to do Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. (Hebrews 13:5-6)

Expressions FROM THE HEART

Never

F O R G OT T E N

You’ll never be forgotten That simply cannot be. As long as I am living I’ll carry you with me. Safely tucked within my heart Your light will always shine; A glowing ember never stilled, Throughout the end of time. No matter what the future brings, Or what may lie ahead, I know that you will walk with me Along the path I tread. So rest my angel, be at peace And let your soul fly free, One day I’ll join your glorious flight For all eternity.

Expressions FROM THE HEART

I’m Free Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free I’m following the path god laid for me. I took his hand when I hearD his call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work and play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void. Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Ah yes, these things I too will miss. BE not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savoured much; Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seems all too brief; Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.

Blessing

OUR

Of all the many blessings However great or small To have had you in our lives Was the greatest one of all. The family chain is broken now And nothing seems the same But as God takes us one by one The chain will link again.

Jackie’s LEGACY

In Appreciation Every expression of kindness and love has added strength in our time of need. Once again we have felt the hands of God extended, the heart of God expressed, and the feet of God reaching to meet our needs. We love and appreciate you. The Family

Until THE END 4.3.2018

Two flames put out on earth now glowing in eternity. Two effervescent smiles that will always spark memories of joy. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. (Matthew 11:28-29)
