From our PASTOR
I
am delighted to welcome you to Pentecostal Tabernacle’s First Annual Men’s Conference; we are truly thankful to God for His continued blessing in our lives.
As we convene under the theme, ‘When I Became A Man’, there will be an intentional focus on increasing the awareness of men to their created likeness to the image of God. We have been tasked with the responsibility to remind and empower men to understand the intentional and divine details of how they were created. By so doing, they will not only strive for spiritual maturity, but will also become more like the Lord Jesus Christ to the world around us. In Genesis 2, we read of the intent of God for the design of man. He was formed after the image of God, he was endued with the knowledge, righteousness, and holiness of God. In 1 Samuel 10:26 we read “Saul also went home in Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.” As we continue to seek Him and reflect His image, let us be a band of men whose hearts God is touching. If our hearts have been touched by God, we will be better husbands, better fathers, and better leaders. It is our desire that this conference will foster fellowship and more importantly, be a transformational experience shaping us for eternity. God Bless You. In His Service, Pastor S. Robert Stewart.
From our
MEN’S MINISTRY LEADER
I would like to welcome you to our 1st Annual Men’s conference. Increasingly, the prophecies of the word are being fulfilled, this makes it imperative to teach our men how to operate and function in their divine purpose. Throughout this conference we will seek to increase our brother’s awareness of their divine design. It was always God’s will for men to be the spiritual leaders of their families. Some men haphazardly find this out over the course of life, while some might live and then die without being attuned to this. Throughout this conference we will intentionally seek to enhance our brother’s awareness of this mandate, by way of classes, a panel discussion and services. This conference is a precursor to events and activities geared towards equipping and developing men to be steadfast contributors to the Kingdom of God. We will set the ground work by increasing men’s awareness of who they are in Christ and what their divine responsibilities are. This will be achieved through diving into the word of God. While we evaluate reputable examples of great men/leaders, who could be seen as exemplary roles model like Christ our Lord. We are intentionally inviting all the brothers from our neighboring churches to come and be a part of this experience. I believe that iron sharpens iron, so we can all work together to enhance communication throughout the body. There is always strength in numbers and synergy in unity. On the day of Pentecost we saw the miraculous move of God as the believers operated in unity. We also see the Glory of the Lord appear in Chronicles as the people worshiped in unity. These are not just events of the past but are also things that we seek to experiencing. Consider this as a charge for all the men in our community to take heed to the call of God. The Word states that the earth groans as it yearns to see the manifestation of the Sons of God. Although, this includes the women as well, it begins with Men taking their rightful place as leaders, priests and more so servants to the body of Christ. Let’s do our part to bring forth the manifestation of the Sons of God. Men of a higher calling, Kingdom Men, it’s time to arise and let’s become true ambassadors of Christ and establish the Kingdom of God around us. Quincy Brown

PASTOR AUDLEY CASTRO The Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Pickering was birthed through the vision and calling of its pioneering pastor, Reverend Audley Castro. Pastor Castro emigrated from Jamaica, West Indies to Canada in 1986 with the goal of pursuing Theological Studies at the Apostolic Missionary Institute (AMI) in Oshawa, Ontario. During his years of study, he served as assistant to several pastors and churches, and through his hard work and diligence, he later graduated as valedictorian of his class in 1989. Upon graduating, he transitioned from student to professor and taught theological courses at AMI for the next five years. He also simultaneously served as the assistant pastor of Grace Apostolic Church in Scarborough, Ontario. In the fall of 1993, Pastor Castro ended his tenure as assistant pastor and ventured to pioneer a work in the City of Pickering. With the dedicated assistance and support of his wife Karen Castro, he has overseen and propelled the growth of his flock from a small group of seven to a growing congregation of several hundred members calling APC their place of worship. Pastor Castro has a great burden and vision to move his congregation “Out of the Ordinary Into Greatness. His vision has definitely caught on at APC, which is clearly evidenced by the consistent stream of visitors and new converts added to each service. He has been truly blessed with favour from God and man with many doors being opened for him to influence the political and business leaders of the City of Pickering. Pastor Castro, his wife Karen, and two daughters, Rhea and Aarien currently reside in Pickering.

HIS IMAGE/ HIS FINGER PRINTS
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2018 AT 1PM -1:50PM Pastor Audley Castro So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Gen 1:27 (KJV) Increase our awareness of the Biblical design of men. Understanding the intentional divine details of how we were created. Man was created to “Image” God; being created as the physical manifestation of the living God. In so doing we must be Christ to the world around us. First by knowing who we are and what we are accountable for, then by actually living and executing it.

CHRISTIAN MEN ARE PEOPLE TOO SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2018 AT 2PM -2:50PM Dr. Lyndon Johnson For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. Romans 7:22-23
Though we are not of this world, as a result of being reborn in Christ, we have to acknowledge that we still have a tangible fleshy body. We also have challenges – i.e. health, temptation, seasons etc

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Jer 1 vs 5:7 (NKJV) Though our experiences as men could seem like stumbling blocks, we should see them as opportunities. God has used and is using these experiences to make us grow and to perfect us. God already knows His intended end result for us and knows how to guide us to it.
