Recessional The Lord’s My Shepherd (Happy Wanderer Tune)
How Great THOU Art O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made; I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed Chorus Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee, How great Thou art, how great Thou art. Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee, How great Thou art, how great Thou art! When through the woods and forest glades I wander And hear the birds, sing sweetly in the trees, When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze Chorus And when I think of God, His Son not sparing; Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in; That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin. Chorus When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow with humble adoration, And there proclaim, “My God, how great Thou art! Chorus
Blessed ASSURANCE Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood Chorus: This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long. Perfect submission, perfect delight, Visions of rapture now burst on my sight; Angels, descending, bring from above Echoes of mercy, whispers of love. Perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Savior am happy and blest, Watching and waiting, looking above, Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
The Lord’s MY SHEPHERD
The Lord’s my Shepherd, I’ll not want; He makes me down to lie In pastures green; He leadeth me The quiet waters by.
My table Thou hast furnished me In presence of my foes; My head Thou dost with oil anoint, And my cup overflows.
My soul He doth restore again, And me to walk doth make Within the paths of righteousness, E’en for His own name’s sake.
Goodness and mercy all my life Shall surely follow me; And in God’s house forevermore, My dwelling place shall be.
Yea, though I walk in death’s dark vale, Yet will I fear no ill; For Thou art with me, and Thy rod And staff me comfort still.
Naomi’s JOURNEY
A famous writer once said, “We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give”. Naomi made a great life. She was a very giving person. Naomi was born Naomi Fredrica Harris on June 13, 1928 in Clarks Town, St Catherine, Jamaica. She was the first child of Cleveland and Miriam Harris. The family lived in Clarks Town for many years until Naomi migrated to Kingston to seek better opportunities. Naomi attended Lucky Valley All Age School and graduated after passing her First and Second Year Exams. She then went to Kingston and got her first job as a Fruiterer, delivering fruits to several establishments from Downtown Kingston to Cross Roads. After several years, she got a job with the Government of Jamaica in the Parks and Gardening Department. She continued in this job until her retirement. In 1950, Naomi met Naaman Robinson and they were married shortly thereafter. The union produced six children; Paulette, Norma, Lloyd (deceased), Newton (Rupert), Janet and Suzeth (Suzy). Her husband predeceased her in 1994.
Naomi loved gardening, washing, and cooking. Rupert’s friends were always found hanging around the kitchen. Her favorite colors were pink and red and she was hardly seen without her beret (tam); she had several colors. In 1995 she migrated to the United States of America to live with her eldest daughter. After migrating here, Naomi found pleasure in continuing to take care of her grandkids and serving God. She also enjoyed travelling frequently to Jamaica to visit relatives and friends. Naomi, Miss Sweetie, Mama, Mom, Grandma as she was affectionately called was a strong woman of great integrity and faith. She was hardworking, loving and compassionate. She believed in her family and was the matriarch that everyone looked to for advice and just about everything. She was always there for her children, grandchildren and whosoever needed her help or advice.
Naomi departed this life June 27, 2018, after a brief period of illness at home and some hospitalization. She will be greatly missed by her five children named above, daughter-in-law Suzanne, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; adopted daughter Samantha; sisters - Mavis, Gertrude, Austhanta (Rhee) and other relatives and friends. Miss Sweetie, thank you for being a part of our lives. We are all going to miss you.
May her soul Rest in Peace and Light Perpetual shine on her. Do no stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on the ripen grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep.

EMORIES
Family and friends have great memories of Miss Sweetie; here is a sample of what her children have to say:
She liked to teach small children their prayers. She always said we need to have faith. She was a woman of great faith. She loved her Jamaican Proverbs and often said, “it’s not de same day leaf go a water bottom it rotten”. Norma She was everybody’s mom. Her favorite saying was “everything is going to be alright no matter what it is”. Newton (Rupert) She was the most positive person I know; she was always putting people before herself. She told me to always have faith, live loving, and support each other when she is gone. Janet Her daughter Paulette says: My mom was kind and loving and loved all kids no matter who they belong to. She always told me to have patience and faith. She was a woman of patience and faith. Paulette She was the mistress of the kitchen no matter who else was in there. No one could cook a stew peas and seasoned rice like Miss Sweetie. Her curried goat is ‘to die for’. Suzie
She always told me to always trust the Lord. I couldn’t ask for a better adopted mother. She genuinely loved from the heart and she was a great impact on my life. Her favorite saying to me was, “Is this a new bag? You need to save your money”. Samantha
Mom, as I affectionately called her, always said, “Family means so much to me”. She admired how I also believe in family and look out for them. She admired my faith and admired how my family and I support each other. Sleep on Mom and take your rest. See you on the other side. Joan Richards (Paulette’s friend)
Grandma’s GEM
She was not only my grandma, she was my friend. We used to hang out all the time. I used to bother her by doing videos and interviews with her. I will miss this woman of a great faith. She also made me laugh even when I was sad. Ashley She was my supporter, my teacher, my encourager, my life. She nourished me (with porridge and stew peas). She was my second mom, my enforcer, my laughter, my counselor, my force, my STRENGTH! I could go on and on ‌.. Thank you for your lessons, memories and experience in life. I know you are watching over me and I will fulfil my promise to you to take care of Chace and finish what I have started. May your soul Rest in Peace Mama. Khaliah
My Grandmother was a woman I admired very dearly. Growing up, I was never the most obedient and always looked for trouble or mischief. Growing up with a grandmother like mine, who was patient and always gave me a chance to correct myself to do the right thing, made me change into a child she could be proud of. She was my advisor - giving me many lessons from her experience and guiding me into the right path. She ensured that I kept the right friends who would push me to succeed. She was my protector - always sheltering me from punishment whenever I did wrong. She was my personal nurse - making sure I got the necessary herbs to help with recovery whenever I got sick and always taking preventative measures to make sure I did not get sick. She was my educator, teaching me my ABC’s and placing an emphasis on school and my book work. She was a phenomenal woman whose teachings and guidance have crafted me into the man I am today and for that I will forever be grateful. Although she is not physically here with me, the memories I have of her are a treasure that will never fade away. Shaquille Nelson
Precious MEMORIES
My sister Swee, (as I called her), and I, spent many great moments together. With her being the eldest, and I the youngest of the siblings, I would ask her about the things of the past of which I did not know, and she would tell me everything I wanted to know. She had a good strong memory right up until the very end. In the last week before her departure in the hospital room, she spoke to me and my niece, her daughter Norma. I will always cherish those words, never ever forgetting what she said. My darling sister Swee, you will be out of my sight but you will always be in my heart and dearly remembered. So long, Rest in Peace. Austhantia Harris-Brown - Sister
