To My Loving Babe I never knew love like this until I fell in love with you. You’ve loved me like no other. As the songwriter put it, “You light up my life. You gave me hope to carry on…” I will miss your gentle touch and your warm embrace. I will truly miss you.
My heart is broken, but I thank God for lending you to me for four beautiful years. I will hold you in my heart forever, my love.
My love, my soul mate, my husband, my friend, sleep on my darling, until we meet again.

THE LIFE OF NEVILLE GRANT
N
eville Grant was born on December 9, 1953 to Ewart and Christianna Kelly Grant in Hector’s River, Portland, Jamaica. He attended Bell Castle Primary and Portland High School. Upon graduating high school, he worked as an accountant at Royal Bank of Canada. In 1978, he migrated to New York City, New York. But, the cold weather didn’t agree with him and he decided to settle for warmer climate in beautiful Miami, Florida. He also worked for American Life Insurance Company (or Alico) as a salesman in Jamaica and in the United States. After being in Miami for a few years, Neville decided to take up the trade of air conditioner installation and repair. He then opened his own business called, Air Mass Air Conditioning in 1985. He mastered his craft by pursuing higher education and achieved a Bachelor Degree in Aviation Technology. Neville also obtained his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying small planes. His business flourished and he was loved and trusted by his customers, who later became close friends and family to him. Neville also continued to grow his business. In his later years, Neville married Jennifer and they enjoyed jet setting and spending loving moments together. An avid member of Emmanuel Apostolic Church, Neville loved God and sought to always be a better Christian. Friends and others close to him often described Neville as quiet and kind spirited. He was easy to talk to and always had a funny story. His favorite subject was politics, he was a consummate professional, and his favorite sports team was Manchester United. On the fateful morning of February 1, 2018, Neville went home to be with the Lord. He is survived by his wife Jennifer, his children (Karen, Kimberly, April, Andrew, and Penelope), his stepsons (Devon, Omar, Aarion, and Christopher), his sisters (Odie, Jullett, and Zadie), his brother (Raymond) his Aunt Mearl in England, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Though he will be missed, we rejoice that Neville is surely resting with the Lord. Rest in peace.
Dear Daddy,
The Fruit of His Loins
I feel overwhelmed and heart broken to even write this letter to you. It hurts to know one week ago we had our last conversation. However, you gave me memories and lessons that will forever be engraved in my heart. I remember as a little girl being so excited to see you visit I would hug your legs, and put my two small feet on yours. You had no choice but to walk and laugh with me attached to you the entire visit. I won’t forget in my childhood making our infamous jelly and cheese toast that no one else was a fan of. How my original nick name from you was tad pole, because that was what I look like as a baby. I’ll always remember how you made me feel like the Milo drink would give me super powers if I drank it every day. I’ll never forget how I went to JCPenny with you and hid in the clothes rack and you thought I was missing. When I came out of hiding I got the historical licking of my life. To this day I never really like playing hide and seek. More important in the last 12 years I really began to understand you more and what you were trying to teach your children. I saw where you came from in Port Antonio, Jamaica, and you told me all your humble beginnings. You had a desire to do more and be successful. As a child in Jamaica you would sell fruit to pay your school fees. You understood as a child hard work and education could open a world of opportunity to you. Your passion for success eventually lead you to Kingston, Jamaica. The big city! You then worked your way to Florida. The moment your feet hit American soil you diligently pushed towards your big dreams. You owned your own business. You even got licensed to fly planes. You would tell me education is important, but I never fully understood until I became an adult. What you never knew is that your life set an example for me of how education can take me any where my mind dreams. I now have guidance to use when raising Kayla (your grandchild). A letter could never express how much I love you. Until my eyes lock on your face again love you forever. Your First Born and Grand Daughter, Karen(Tad Pole) & Kayla
Reflections By Penelope
I love you so much daddy, and I miss you.
Reflections By Kimberley
I will miss my dad, who was like my twin. I’ve come to realize, through the years, that I am so much like him. We have the same nose, the same laugh, the same hands, the same walk, and even the same way of talking and sitting. Yes, he was my twin. Dad, even though you are gone from this earth, you will never be forgotten. Your memories are forever etched into my heart. Even in your final years you remained jovial and content. You were able to make it right with God and become the good Christian that we always knew you were. I love you Daddy and I appreciate you more than you will ever know. Until we meet again, rest in peace.

When We All Get to Heaven
Songs of Comfort When We All Get to Heaven Sing the wondrous love of Jesus Sing His mercy and His grace In the mansions bright and blessed He’ll prepare for us a place
Let us then be true and faithful, Trusting, serving every day; Just one glimpse of Him in glory Will the toils of life repay.
Chorus When we all get to heaven What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We’ll sing and shout the victory.
Chorus Onward to the prize before us! Soon His beauty we’ll behold; Soon the pearly gates will open; We shall tread the streets of gold.
While we walk the pilgrim pathway, Clouds will overspread the sky; But when traveling days are over, Not a shadow, not a sigh.
When we all get to heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We’ll sing and shout the victory.
Chorus
Blessed Assurance Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine; Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
Perfect submission, perfect delight. Visions of rapture now burst on my sight; Angels descending, bring from above Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
Chorus This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior, all the day long. This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior, all the day long.
Perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Savior am happy and blessed; Watching and waiting, looking above, Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
Amazing Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How previous did that grace appear The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come; ‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise, Than when we’d first begun.
Families are the compass that guides us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter.

You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.

Ode to Nev from Cousin Lanny Oh! Cousin Nev, Scott’s Runn born and bred. You born December, me January and Mousey February. Three cousins but anybody would’ve pass we for brothers. So you left to seek your fortune and we didn’t see each other for thirty plus years! But because you have always been a fine family person we kept in touch over the years and not letting the thousands of miles between us keep us apart. You looked after your family, nearest and dearest, as you know there were many of us. I want you to know that over the 64 years that you were with us I never heard anyone have a bad thing to say about you. Because of this and the person you were I know that there are many, many people who are mourning your passing. Oh! cuz, you were even cooler than the air conditioner systems you installed and fixed. You will never be forgotten, cool runnings my cuz. Rest in Eternal peace. From Lanny your cousin
