ACTING FOR THE STAGE

Whether you’re new to acting or have loads of experience, this is a great class to work on your skills. Students will learn through observation and one-on-one work. This class will focus on the basics of being comfortable on stage and work on the skills needed to communicate e ectively with an audience. ACT UP

Know someone who is destined for the stage? Learn all about performing and acting in these intro-to-the-stage classes. This class teaches the basics of acting, stage and screen presence, and collaboration, through storytelling and art activities. This class encourages creativity and confidence. There will be a final performance for your family and friends. Day: Mondays (ages 3 – 5) & Thursdays (ages 6 – 10) Location: The Vine Arts & Event Center Time: Mondays 4:30 – 5:30 pm / Thursdays 5:30 – 6:30 pm Ages: 3 – 5 and 6 – 10 years old Fee: $65

ACTING FOR FILM

Acting is acting, but di erent mediums require di erent skill sets. In this class, you will learn how to be believable and real in front of the camera. Students will also work on listening, reacting, being a ected, using inner monologue, and expanding the student’s cold-reading skills. In our current world where so much is still happening by self-tape, this class will be invaluable and necessary for the serious actor. Day: Thursdays Location: The Vine Arts & Event Center Time: 5:30 – 6:30 pm Ages: 8+ years Fee: $65

IMPROV

Students will learn the basics of improv, storytelling, and stagecraft, mostly through playing skilled theater games— because you learn better when you are having fun! Students will participate in an improv show for family and friends on the last day of class to show o all their newly developed skills! Day: Thursdays Location: The Vine Arts & Event Center Time: 6:30 – 7:30 pm Ages: 8+ years Fee: $65

BROADWAY & BEYOND

Do you love to sing and perform? You’ll have a great time rehearsing and performing in one of our beginning musical theatre classes! These classes will address focus, concentration, and how to express mood through vocal and physical exploration. There will be a final performance for your family and friends. Day: Tuesdays Location: The Vine Arts & Event Center Time: 4:30 – 5:30 pm (ages 3 – 5); 5:30 – 6:30 pm (ages 6 – 10) Ages: 3 – 5 and 6 – 10 years old Fee: $65

VOCAL TECH

For the serious singer. This class will help you work on your existing repertoire and find new pieces in di erent styles of Musical Theater. Students will be encouraged to perform in every class and to work outside of class to research and find new material. The class will focus on vocal technique, acting the song, and audition skills, as well as repertoire. Students will learn through observation and one-on-one work. Each student will have a “mock” audition with a panel of adjudicators that will give them personal feedback. Day: Tuesdays Location: The Vine Arts & Event Center Time: 4:30 – 5:30 pm (ages 8 – 12); 5:30 – 6:30 pm (ages 13+ years) Ages: 8 – 12 and 13+ years Fee: $65

BEGINNER DANCE CLASSES, MOVE AND GROOVE, AND COMBO

These classes are great for first-time dancers, teaching the basic vocabulary and movement essentials for a strong foundation for future education in dance. Students will participate in a recital showcase at the end of each semester. Move and Groove focuses on ballet and jazz basics, as well as general motor skills. Combo spends part of each class on ballet, tap, and jazz. Day: Wednesdays (Move and Groove) and Thursdays (Combo) Location: The Vine Arts & Event Center Time: 4:30 – 5:30 pm Ages: 3 – 5 years old Fee: $65

DANCE FOR THE MUSICAL THEATER PERFORMER

Multiple levels of dance are geared toward the dancing actor/singer working towards their triple threat. Ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, conditioning and technique, and leaps and turns. Multi-class discounts are available. Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays Location: The Vine Arts & Event Center Time: Varies based on the class; please check the website. Ages: 6+ years Fee: $65 for 1-hour classes / $90 for 1.5-hour classes

PERFORMANCE-BASED CLASS

Our performance class will work to put together a performance over the semester. Students will work on character development, learning music, and choreography just like our other productions, but over a longer, more relaxed time frame! Students will present a one-act musical in December and May. Multi-class discounts are available. Day: Mondays Location: The Vine Arts & Event Center Time: 5:30 - 7:00 pm Ages: 10+ years Fee: $90

STUDENT PRODUCTIONS

Interested in being in a full musical? Join us as we work on character development, learning music, and choreography, as well as stagecraft fundamentals — all while rehearsing for a fully staged production. Auditions will be August 20 – 21. More information is available on our website. Day: Varies based on the production schedule Location: The Vine Arts & Event Center Time: Schedule based on student availability Ages: 5+ years Fee: $395 per production
