Mustard Seed Oil
The cold-pressed mustard seed oil has a golden color and a pleasant scent of mustard. It is rich in Omega-3 and -6 fatty acids, as well as in vitamin A and E and beta-carotene. Due to its high content of essential fatty acids it can help strengthen cell membranes and make them more flexible, as well as stimulate memory and mental activities. It also has a strong antibacterial effect.
Since mustard seed oil can raise body temperature and cause hyperaemia, it can be used topically as a compress or rub to ease rheumatic and joint diseases. It can also be useful for colds when added to a warm footbath. It can even be mixed with milk when added to the water to help it dissolve.
