Greenville College was formed by the Free Methodist Church with the intent to provide a distinctive, Christ-centered college education for men and women. The college’s first president, Wilson T. Hogue, used the motto “education for character” to describe the college’s purpose. Its mission 120 years later empowering students for lives of character and service - echoes that purpose.

TRANSFORMATIVE CHRIST-CENTERED EDUCATION Faith and community are pillars of the learning process at Greenville College. Transformation occurs as students experience meaningful change – both in and out of the classroom. Spiritual formation is woven into our academic and extracurricular programs, and the relationships formed at GC are the catalyst for a deeper exploration of the Christian faith.

The 3-year degree program is a special opportunity for motivated students to complete their undergraduate degree in less time than the traditional 4-year major. This option reduces costs for students who have a clear idea of their career goals or education path beyond Greenville College. Students in this program can take advantage of the same co-curricular and community experiences that 4-year students enjoy.
