Day Trips CHICAGO CUBS @CINCINNATI REDS MLB GAME Saturday, August 10 3:30 p.m. $75 Registration Take a day trip with us and take in the game! Registration includes bus transportation to and from Great America Ball Park, a 400 section View Level Box ticket behind home plate and a tour of the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. The bus will depart the Greenwood Community Center at 3:30 p.m. and return at about 12:45 a.m

CHRISTMAS CASINO TRIP IN RISING SUN, INDIANA Thursday, November 21 9:00 a.m. $30 Registration Join us for a day trip to the Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana. The Casino will be lavishly decorated for the Christmas season complete with Santa and his eight reindeer! We will leave from the Greenwood Community Center at 9:00 a.m. and arrive at the casino at 11:15 a.m. The return trip leaves at 5:00 p.m. and we will be back at the Greenwood Community Center by about 7:15 p.m. Each guest will receive $15 in slot play and the lunch buffet at the Rising Star Casino. MUST be 21 to attend.

FALL FOLIAGE & BROWN COUNTY SHOPPING Saturday, October 12 8:30 a.m. $40 Registration Join us for a day of Sites and Shopping in scenic Brown County. We will leave from the Greenwood Community Center at 8:30 a.m. and arrive at the Scenic Overlook at Brown County State Park for a 30-minute stop to take in the Fall Foliage. Then we head into Nashville for a day of shopping and arts demonstrations. The return trip leaves downtown Nashville at 5 p.m. and we will be back at the Greenwood Community Center by about 6:00 p.m. Each shopper will get a chance to win one of our raffle prizes (to be announced)

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING IN CHICAGO @ THE MAGNIFICENT MILE Saturday, December 7 8:00 a.m. $50 Registration Join us for an all-day, no-hassle trip to Chicago’s famed Magnificent Mile for a Christmas Shopping Excursion. Freedom Festival June 29

As Greenwood’s marquee community event, Freedom Festival draws more than 50,000 people to Craig Park every summer to celebrate the American Spirit. The festivities include a parade, local food, beer and craft vendors, and a kids zone. Indiana’s best fireworks show concludes the evening. 13

Group The group swim lesson program at Freedom Springs is based on a five level progression that helps participants learn important swimming and water safety skills.

Parent-Child Designed as the first step into our swim lessons program. This course is intended for infants, toddlers, and adults. Children learn to become more comfortable in, on, and around water as adults learn how to safely hold and handle their children and learn water safe practices.

Dog Parks Become a dog park member and let your fourlegged friends run free, find new playmates or test their agility skills on various obstacles. Dog Parks are open from dawn to dusk 365 days a year. Registration information: • Annual membership is $45 per dog, per tag. 3 EASY WAYS TO REGISTER In Person You can register in person by coming to the Greenwood Community Center at 100 Surina Way

Full Refunds will be made upon cancellation of a class or activity by the Parks & Recreation Department

No refunds will be given after the class/ program or event begins. The only exception is an injury, which prohibits participation in the class/program. The refund is subject to prorating and must be claimed before the end of the program.

Rental cancellations (for any reason including weather) must be made a minimum of 10 business days in advance to receive a refund of the rental fee. Cancellations shall be assessed a $10 or 15% Administration Fee for processing.

All refunds will be issued through the city claim process that takes approximately 1-2 weeks.

Inclement Weather Policy If Greenwood Community Schools close due to inclement weather, Education Station and Latch Key will not be held. If schools are on a two-hour delay Latch Key will still be held and buses will pick up children from the Community Center at the appropriate time. If the Mayor declares a snow emergency, all Parks & Recreation facilities and programs will be closed or canceled. Any other weatherrelated cancellations or delays will be posted on Facebook and our Greenwood Parks & Recreation App.

Greenwood Dog Park Membership Rules & EƟqueƩe: Use of the Greenwood Parks Dog Parks are not a right, but is a privilege. Please do not allow unacceptable or irresponsible behavior to ruin the experience for others. The Greenwood Parks Dog Parks strive to provide a fun environment for owners and their dogs. By using the Dog Parks, users must understand that they assume all responsibility and liability for the risks of unleashing their dog(s) in this facility. Greenwood Parks Dog Parks are not a supervised facility. Users therefore are required to abide by the rules and etiquette at all times while on the premises. Owners and individuals accompanying them use the facility entirely at their own risk and that of their dogs. The future of these facilities and others like it depends on members behaving responsibly and obeying all the rules. Canines and their owners are expected to behave with common courtesy and respect for the property as well as other park users. We realize that owner socialization is a great added value to the experience, but please remember that the dog owner’s first priority is the proper supervision of his/her dog.

Shelter House Rental Rules ·

No vehicles or trailers are allowed off the roadway or in the grass at any time.

·

Water is available in restrooms and drinking fountains only. Water for hoses is not available.

·

The Greenwood Parks & Recreation Department ask you to help keep our parks clean and keep rental fees down. If you do not wish to be charged for the cost of clean up after your event, you are responsible for bringing your own trash bags and taking all of your trash with you when you leave. Please bring rental application, rental agreement and receipt with you on rental day.

Availability of facilities are on a first come, first paid basis.

·

Rental fees are due and payable at the time of reservation. Facilities must be reserved at least 5 days in advance of the date of event.

Field lighting for shelter rentals will not be made available under any circumstances.

·

No alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted on City or Park property.

·

Be prepared – Bring extra toilet paper, soap, paper towels, trash bags and cleaning supplies.
