Why did you start with swimwear?

In Rome I have a showroom, which is also my bespoke atelier, but my items are also found in the Mon Reve store, in Piazzale Parco della Rimembranza. I present my collections regularly and I sell them in many cities including Paris and New York. Very recently I have started making online sales directly from my website www.marziagenesi.com.

What is your greatest strength?

Simplicity, bright colors and strong prints, together with the play of necklines and crossings on the back. I do not follow trends, but what I like.

What is your summer 2018 collection like?

go from yellow to light colors, then stripes and polka dots.

Perché ha iniziato con i costumi?

Ho iniziato quindici anni fa facendo ricerche nel mio passato, negli album di famiglia. Tutto è nato con i costumi da bagno perché non ne trovavo nessuno che mi piacesse e che mi facesse sentire a mio agio. Così ho creato la mia linea.

Fa solo una collezione estiva?

Sto iniziando a pensare anche a una collezione invernale, basata so prattutto sulla maglieria, che è la mia passione. Per l’estivo i miei must, oltre ai costumi, sono le tute lunghe e i vestiti leggeri che si possono usare sia come copricostume sia per una serata più ele gante.

Quali sono i punti vendita?

A Roma ho uno showroom, che è anche il mio atelier su misura, ma i miei capi si trovano anche nel negozio Mon Reve, in piazzale Parco della Rimembranza. Presento le mie collezioni regolarmente e le vendo in molte città tra cui Parigi e New York. Da pochissimo ho iniziato a fare le vendite on line direttamente dal mio sito www. marziagenesi.com.

Qual è il suo punto di forza?

La semplicità, i colori accesi e le stampe decise, insieme al gioco di scolli e agli incroci sulla schiena. Non guardo le tendenze ma ciò che mi piace.

Com’è la collezione dell’estate 2018?

che vanno dal giallo e al chiaro, poi righe e pois.
