Exchange and mobility grants allow students to spend part of their time studying at a different university, guaranteeing that the academic value of these studies will be recognised and that they can be adapted to the students’ original degree programmes. sri.ua.es/es/movilidad

European programmes. Erasmus +
This European Union exchange programme offers students the chance to spend part of their time studying at European universities associated with the programme, currently more than 300. You may check which universities and countries are available, as well as full information about calls at sri.ua.es/es/movilidad/estudiantes-ua.html In order to apply for Erasmus grants it is necessary to be a student of an undergraduate degree, official master’s degree or doctoral programme, and there must be an agreement between the centre where the applicant studies and other centres abroad. Students taking undergraduate degrees must have gained at least 60 credits when they apply. The duration of the exchanges varies between 3 and 12 months. Applications can be made through the UA Cloud. Generally, applications open between the months of November and December of the preceding academic year. There is also an extraordinary call for applications in September the same academic year.

Non-European programmes
This exchange programme is promoted by the University of Alicante and offers students the chance to spend part of their time studying at non-European universities with which the UA has signed student exchange agreements (Algeria, Australia, Azerbaijan, Canada, China, Georgia, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Latin America, Malaysia, Puerto Rico, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, the United States and Vietnam). In order to apply for these grants, students taking undergraduate degrees must have passed the credits set out in the call for applications. The duration of these exchanges is six months. Student Exchanges and Mobility Spanish programmes. SICUE programmes
The SICUE (Spanish University Exchange System) programme is designed to promote interuniversity cooperation as a means of enhancing the quality of education by favouring student mobility in their final years at university, allowing them to spend part of their time studying at a different university. The stay length is determined by the Interuniversity SICUE agreement: middle course or full course. SICUE Applications: Calls are usually announced in February , and applications may be made through the UACloud. In order to apply for these places it is necessary to be an undergraduate degree student, to have gained at least 45 credits and to be registered in 30 or more. The SICUE programme offers no financial assistance.

DRAC grant programme. Mobility between universities belonging to the Vives Network
Grants to promote mobility between universities in the Vives University Network (made up of 22 institutions of higher education in 4 European states - Spain, France, Italy and Andorra - which share a common culture, united by the Catalan language). The DRAC Programme has several short-term sub-programmes: DRAC-Further Training, aimed at students of doctoral programmes and official master’s degrees; DRAC-Winter, for students taking undergraduate, first-cycle or second-cycle degrees who have obtained more than 60 degree credits; and DRAC-Summer, designed for students taking undergraduate, first-cycle or secondcycle degrees who have obtained more than 45 degree credits, or students in doctoral programmes or official master’s degrees. All these grants are awarded for students to attend activities organised by the universities included in the Joan Lluís Vives Network. Recognition of credits depends on agreements between the universities. Check with your centre. Applications for DRA-Further Training and DRAC-Winter can be submitted until 15 January, 15 May and 15 September. DRACSummer in May.
