La noticia del atentado en Barcelona irrumpe y con él, el sufrimiento, dolor, angustia, incertidumbre, auxilio, desesperación. ¿Por qué? Nuestro total apoyo a las víctimas y familiares.

t is August 17th, the heat is almost unbearable, thanks to the fan close to my desk I am safe. Everything is going fine with the magazine and then: ¡BOOM!!!! The news of the terrorist attack to Barcelona breaks the moment, and with it a strong feeling of suffering, pain, anguish, uncertainty, and desperation gets over me. I cannot help asking myself: why? Our total sympathy and support to the victims and the families. Nelson Mandela once said: to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others. Controversies will always be there, that is why despite our sadness for the recent events, we keep working hard and receiving the congratulations of those who read our magazine. We sincerely want to thank the assistance of the professionals who give us their time and their interesting articles. We also support the entrepreneurial initiatives, the new openings, the new products, services, and places of interest. We have had the pleassure of talking to a great musician like Toni Succar, a fantastic writer like Maxim Huerta, and an elite athlete like Juanma Cardoso. To all of them, our most sincere gratitude. ompuesta por un equipo de profesionales de la comunicación, como la copa de un pino, La Playa Fm, nace de un sueño que compartían desde hacía mucho tiempo dos grandes amigos. Una llamada de teléfono sirvió para cuajar un proyecto con un objetivo muy definido, recuperar una radio local de verdad. Un proyecto que les iba a acercar a la gente de los pueblos de la Marina Baixa, una radio atractiva, fresca, una radio libre y sin complejos. Y arrancó la emisora La Playa Fm emitiendo en el 96.5 de la FM. En los micrófonos del estudio de grabación Toni Castro y Alicia Cueto, en la parte de dirección y publicidad, Carlos Romano.

Tony afirmaba que este proyecto no era como algo que se haya escuchado o visto anteriormente, “es realmente único para la mente, oídos, y corazones de la audiencia”. La música de Michael Jackson influyó de gran forma en la vida de Tony y encendió sus ideas musicales y pasiones a un nivel extraordinario. Como resultado ha creado un sonido innovador que interrelaciona y conecta los elementos del Pop americano, jazz, salsa y música mundial dirigiéndolas a las fuertes y duraderas bases del “Rey del Pop”. “Unity” presenta a más de 100 músicos, tales como las superestrellas latinas Tito Nieves, Jon Secada y Obie Bermúdez, y la magia de la mezcla del legendario ingeniero de Jackson, Bruce Swedien. Tony Succar nació un 18 de mayo de 1986 en Lima, Perú. A la edad de 2 años llegó a los Estados Unidos estableciéndose en la ciudad de Miami, Florida. Al estar rodeado de una familia de músicos, Tony pudo alcanzar su carrera musical a la edad de 13 años. “Fui privilegiado por haber nacido y crecido en una familia de músicos, no puedo estar más agradecido”, explicó Succar quien se inspiró en el piano para comenzar su educación musical, para luego moverse hacia la percusión. Tony recibió su Bachillerato en Artes de La Universidad Internacional de Florida en el 2008 y su grado de maestría en el 2010.

ade of a team of professionals from the communication world, La Playa FM, was born out of a dream that 2 great friends shared for a long time. Just one phone call served to start this project which has a really well-established objective: recovering the idea of a true local radio. This has become a project that has taken them really closer to the people from the towns of the Marina Baixa. It is definetely, a fresh and attractive radio with no complexes.
The radio began its way broadcasting through 96.5FM having Toni Castro and Alicia Cueto in the microphones and Carlos Romano in the managment and marketing areas. The good music is one of the main ingredients of their daily programms, and Hermosa Beach magazine is their flagship. Every morning, from Monday to Friday (10h to 14h) Alicia and Toni broadcast a pleasant journey of music,news, and revelations of the main

Nonetheless, their project is even greater, Toni and Carlos have devoted theyself to creating and shaping the strategy and line of action of the La Playa Group. This group is made of: La Playa FM 96.5, Radio 4G Finestrat 90.8, and La Playa Live as promotor, concerts producer, and events planner. La Playa Live will be launched by promoting a great scale production in Benidorm. It will bring Benidorm the possibility to listen to live music. Toni Succar and his manager Marcos Szczuek from Cat 7 produtions, visited yesterday La Playa FM facilities in order to talk about their musical trajectory and the coming concert in Benidorm. UNITY: the Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson is backed up by an excellent production team and great artists. Toni said that this project does not resemble anything he has seen or heard before. It is a unique experience for people´s minds and hearts. Michael Jackson´s music really influenced Toni´s life and took all his musical ideas and passion to an extraordinary level. As a result, Toni has created an innovative sound that connects and relates elements such as: American Pop, jazz, salsa, and world music. All these rythms combined are taken later to the strong and long lasting basis of the King of Pop. UNITY will present more tan 100 artists, among them, some Latin Stars like: Tito Nieves, Jon Secada, Obie Bermúdez, and the magic of the legendary Michael Jackson´s studio engineer: Bruce Swedien. Toni Succar was born on May 18th, 1986 in Lima, Peru. When he was 2 years old he moved in with his family to the USA, especifically Miami, Florida. Being around a family of musicians made him start in the world of music as soon as being 13 years old. It was a real privilege being born in a family of musicians, I am really thankful, says Succar. He chose the piano to beging his musical career and then moved to percussion. Toni graduated as Bachelor in Arts at the International University of Florida in 2008, and achieved his Master in 2010. Percussionist, musician, producer, and arranger, no matter if his playing the timbales, in an orchestra, or in Groove explosion, Toni Succar´s sound is unique. He is always trying to find a balance and a link between the musician and the dancer. Muchas de las empresas más grandes y conocidas del mundo no fueron pioneras en la introducción de un producto o servicio, pero, supieron captar mejor que las demás las necesidades de los clientes y fueron más eficientes a la hora de satisfacerlas.
Even though being original is important, this is not a huge matter. Many of the great and really known enterprises there are, were not pioneers in the introduction of a product or service. They were, however, the ones that better understood the needs of the clients and were more effective in satisfying them.

Being original is about introducing new things in the market. Those original things may be the way to offer that service or product.

Identifica los puntos claves de tu propuesta Antes de convencer a otros, convéncete a ti mismo de lo bueno que es tu planteamiento. Para ello, recopila las ventajas y beneficios de tu idea de negocio: analiza por qué tu producto o servicio es innovador, qué lo diferencia de los demás y qué tipo de necesidad, problema u oportunidad vas a cubrir. a Habana es esa ciudad que se ha quedado colgada en el tiempo, esa ciudad que ha renunciado a abandonar el pasado pero que mira el futuro con mucho optimismo. La Habana es esa ciudad donde viven los habaneros, los cubanos, y eso ya es mucho decir. Es una ciudad donde no hay lógicas ni razones comunes, es un mundo fuera de este mundo y a la vez tan normal como en el que vivimos día a día. ¿No comprendes nada verdad? Lo sé, solo puedes entenderlo si alguna vez la visitas o conoces a un cubano. En ese momento te darás cuenta del eterno amor especial que siente cada cubano por ella. Caminar en sus calles o montar un almendrón (coches americanos de los años 40 en adelante) es todo un espectáculo. Sentarse en el malecón y poder disfrutar de la brisa marina y el sonido de una guitarra es una razón más para enamorarse. El Floridita, La Bodeguita del Medio, su Casco Antiguo, sus playas, su comida, su música, pero sobre todo su gente, harán que quieras regresar una y mil veces.

ste género musical bailable nació en la zona oriental de Cuba y desde sus inicios ha marcado un antes y un después en la música cubana y latina. Lo que muchos no saben es que sus orígenes están muy ligados a la música española y africana. La unión de instrumentos musicales de ambos continentes y la alegría y carácter de los cubanos dieron vida a este fenómeno musical. En sus comienzos era relegado a los lugares que frecuentaban
las clases bajas de la sociedad cubana, pero a partir de 1920, la aparición de la radio y la sensualidad de su baile, hicieron que llegara a los lugares más sofisticados visitados por la alta sociedad cubana de la época y el turismo proveniente mayormente de Estados Unidos. his music genre was born in the Eastern part of Cuba, and since the very beginning it became a before and an after in the Cuban and Latin music. What most of the people do not know is that this musical genre is highly related to the Spanish and African music. The mix of both African and Spanish musical instruments, along with the natural happiness and character of the Cubans, gave birth to this great creation.
Salsa, mambo, jazz, and others are among the musical genres that have taken the Cuban son as their source of inspiration.
Now that yo know a bit about this dancing and musical genre, ¿why don´t you listen to one of its classics: The Guantanamera? While you do so, you may also enjoy a Mojito, it would be like travelling to Cuba without actually moving from your home.
At the beginning, it was only present where the Cuban low class people used to go dancing; but, from the 1920s, the radio and the sensuality of its dancing and rythm made it be there where the all Cubans and American tourists used to go. Groups and singers such as: The Buena Vista Social Group, Compay Segundo, the Sexteto Habanero, Benny Moré, Celia Cruz, the Trío Matamoros, and some other brilliant examples of the Cuban music contributed to its worldwide recognition and fame.

Cualquier turista pensaría en tomarse un buen cubata o una cerveza fría, pero el cubano busca la famosa guarapera. ¿Qué es una guarapera? La guarapera es un lugar especial para todos los cubanos, es un oasis en el medio del desierto. En ella ocurre todo, la dulce caña de azúcar cubana se exprime en el trapiche para obtener su zumo. Este zumo se mezcla luego con bastante hielo y ya está, nada de procesos complicados, ni químicos, solo un zumo 100% natural y refrescante. Tal es la magia del guarapo que los cubanos le han otorgado características especiales relacionadas con la mejora de la actividad sexual y hasta el poder de que si lo bebes durante la madrugada, lo bueno se queda y lo malo se va. DEL HOTEL MOLI La elegancia, el encanto y el buen gusto, preceden en el Restaurante Beluga, ubicado en el Hotel Moli de L’Alfàs del Pi.

heresa, la chef del Restaurante Beluga es inglesa y cuenta con casi 30 años de experiencia en los fogones, vive en España desde hace 16 años y ama cocinar con los productos frescos de la tierra. De hecho su cocina está basada en el 90% de productos españoles y el 10% restantes en productos internacionales.
Theresa ¿cómo definirías el concepto del Restaurante Beluga? Yo diría que ofrecemos una carta variada para llegar a distintos públicos. Nuestra filosofía es servir productos frescos como has mencionado antes, pescados, mariscos, carnes y verduras de primera calidad. Nuestra carta está diseñada pensando en nuestros clientes del hotel y de cualquiera que pueda acercarse al restaurante sin estar alojados en el. Observando la carta, es cierto que vemos como unas categorías, ¿puedes ampliarnos un poco la información para nuestros lectores? Claro, empezamos con los desayunos, puedes elegir entre varios platos, ricos y completos que te darán toda la energía necesaria para pasar la mañana. Luego tenemos bocados ligeros como sandwiches o bocadillos para media mañana o para aquellos que prefieran una comida menos pesada, por supuesto a la carta con platos mas elaborados y los postres. ¿Servís menú del día? Si de lunes a sábado de 13.00 a 16.00 y los domingos servimos un típico menú inglés “SUNDAY ROAST”, Llamado así porque es típico tomarlo los domingos consiste en asado de diferentes carnes (cerdo, ternera ó cordero) acompañado de patatas asadas, yorkshire pudding (como un vol-au-vent vacío), salchichas y verduras de temporada todo ello regado con una espesa salsa hecha con cebolla y el jugo de la carne (gravy). ¿Resáltanos un plato diferente de vuestra carta? Umm es difícil porque hay varios y tenéis que venir a probarlos, jaja. Pero voy a decir el bacalao con chorizo. ¿Y para los amantes del vino? Oh la cava es perfecta, con una gran selección de vinos de todo el mundo, que no encontrarás en los supermercados. Nuestro personal recibió una formación antes de abrir las puertas al público, para poder asesorar a

nuestros clientes en cuanto a la elección del vino y el maridaje con nuestros platos. Y para terminar Thresa, estoy sentada en la terraza del hotel y el restaurante Beluga y me imagino una boda intima y encantadora, ¿sería eso posible? Por supuesto que sí, conmigo además es muy fácil trabajar, me adapto a las necesidades del cliente y puedo diseñar o configurar el menú que me pidan. La suerte que tenemos es contar con estas maravillosas instalaciones que se prestan para todo tipo de celebraciones. En mi opinión, los empresarios que han puesto en marcha el Hotel Moli y el restaurante Beluga, han sido muy inteligentes. Enclavado en el casco antiguo del municipio, donde se respira relax y pocos ruidos, han creado un espacio de estilo contemporáneo a la vez que mediterráneo, con todo tipo de detalles que hacen de la instancia un momento inolvidable.

RESTAURANT, MOLI HOTEL When we talk about the Beluga Restaurant we think of ellegance, charm, and exceptional style. It is located in the Moli Hotel, L´Alfás del Pi.

heresa, who is the chef of this restaurant, has almost 30 years of experience in the cuisine world. She has been living in Spain for 16 years and she definetely loves cooking the fresh products from our land. In fact, her cuisine is 90% based on the Spanish products and the other 10% on International ones. Theresa, how would you define the concept of Beluga Restaurant? I would say that it is based on a varied menu to meet the needs of different people. Our philosophy has to do with serving first quality fresh products such as: fish, sea food, meat, and vegetables. Our menu is designed not only taking into account the needs of our hotel guests but also on the ones of anyone who wants to come in for a meal. Taking a look to the menu, it is really easy to see that there are several categories. Cold you give our readers more information about it? Of course, we start with the breakfast. The client may choose among several dishes, all of
them really tasty and full of the energy they will need during the morning. Among them, we offer the English breakfast and light sandwiches for those looking for a light meal, and there are other more ellaborated dishes and desserts. Do you have a menu of the day? Yes, we offer it from Monday to Saturday, from 13h to 16h. On Sundays, we serve a typical English menu called: Sunday Roast. It is called like that because it is really common to have it on Sundays. This menu consists on different roast meat (pork, beef, lamb) accompanied by roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding (vol-au-vent), sausages, and season vegetables. All these in a thick onion and meat sauce. What do you offer for wine lovers? The cava is perfect. We have a great selection of world wines which are not sell at the supermarkets. Our staff was trained before we opened. This way they can advise the clients to choose the wine that best pairs their meal.
In order to finish this interview Theresa, I am seating here at the hotel and the Beluga Restaurant terrace, and I cannot help thinking about cellebrating a charming and intimate wedding. Would that be possible? Of course. Besides, it is really easy to work with us. It is really easy for me to adapt myself to the clients´needs. This way, I can design the menu they want. Our most important asset is having these fantastic facilities perfect for any kind of cellebration. In my opinion, all the entrepreneurs responsible for the project of the Moli Hotel and the Beluga Restaurant have been really smart. They have chosen the best location: the Old Town. In this area, an atmosphere of relax and silence has created a contemporary and mediterranean environment in which all details are taken into account to make you live an unforgettable experience.

En cuanto termino sus estudios se hizo autónoma y trabajo en distintos centros desde los públicos a los privados. ¿Qué es para ti la fisioterapia? Es la recuperación funcional del individuo, después de un trauma, una patología o una circunstancia vital. ¿Que te motivó a escoger esta especialidad? Desde pequeña soñaba en ayudar a la gente a sentirse mejor en el ámbito de la salud, era ya una vocación y siendo adolescente me entusiasmaban las asignaturas de biología y ciencias. She is, indeed, a fighter and an entrepeneur woman that bet for her business 10 years ago. She is a Specialist in Physiotherapy graduated from the Pontifical University of Salamanca and an expert in children´s psychomotricity graduated from the University of Madrid, Expert in Child Therapeutics, Structural Osteopath and specialist in Global Posture Reeducation. Her intellectuall curiosity leads her to being always studying and travelling to participate in congresses that deal with her profession matters. Once she graduated she started working as entrepreneur, and worked for both the public and private sectors. What does physiotherapy mean to you? It is the functional recovery of one individual after a trauma, a pathology, or a critical life circumstance. What made you choose this profession? Since i was a Little girl i dreamed about helping people to feel better and healthy, it was my dream and when i was a teenager i was amazed by both biology and science subjects. With Regards to your centre, some are the disci-plines you offer and the staff is really complete. Tell us about them. We are 12 professionals including the physiotherapists, a psychologist, a speech therapist, a naturopath, and the rest takes care of the acupuncture, training, pilates, and yoga activities. Besides what i do at the centre, i also teach anatomy to the professionals that will later teach yoga in Alicante. What makes your business stand out among the rest of competitors? We work as a team to cover all of our patients needs and we work really hard to gain their trust. We always provide them with a personalized treatment. We are now leaders in children´s care, and in neurologic di-sorders. We also speak 5 languages. Would you give us a piece of advice to feel healthier? Love, love. We have to love ourselves first, and then love people and nature.

Las pestañas postizas se han usado desde hace muchos años como un complemento estético para realzar la mirada, estas se han vendido y se siguen vendiendo en cajas con un par de pestañas, y se han colocado con un pegamento específico, pero su durabilidad difiere en tiempo si las comparamos con las extensiones de pestaña pelo a pelo. Esta técnica tan actual y demanda últimamente requiere mucha paciencia por parte del profesional que las pone. Pelo a pelo, se pegan a la pestaña original del cliente, evitando que se amontonen y consigan un efecto muy natural. Se tarda casi dos horas en aplicarlas y duran entre 5 a 6 semanas, entre medias se recomienda un relleno a las 3 semanas. Suelen ser de seda y el pegamento no crea reacciones alérgicas y además no entra en el ojo, ya que se aplica con el ojo cerrado, aunque siempre puede haber excepciones. MAXIM HUERTA M àxim Huerta Hernández es periodista, escritor, presentador y ahora también bloguero de viajes. Es Miembro de la Academia de las Ciencias y las Artes de la Televisión y recibió el Premio Primavera 2014 con su cuarta novela La Noche Soñada.
Aprovechamos su estancia en la playa del Albir y le pedimos que nos contara más detalles de su novela y de él mismo, a lo que respondió de inmediato con un “claro”. Para nuestro magazine es un lujo contar con la colaboración de Maxim Huerta, un hombre comprometido con la cultura y que aboga siempre por una sociedad libre y sin censuras.
“Quería un libro transparente, muy de verdad; y para eso he ido escribiéndolo en los mismos lugares de la novela. A veces necesitas volver atrás, no porque quieras regresar, sino porque olvidaste decir adiós”.
¿De qué trata tu última novela “La parte escondida del iceberg”? Mi última novela, “La parte escondida del Iceberg”, está llena de emoción, escrita desde y con el corazón. Es el resultado de mis anteriores novelas. En esta ocasión me he guiado por el instinto. Es como si en lugar de escribir con el ordenador lo hubiera escrito a mano, con esa fuerza que imprime el trazo que ya no sucede con las teclas. Quería un libro transparente, muy de verdad; y para eso he ido escribiéndolo en los mismos lugares de la novela. A veces necesitas volver atrás, no porque quieras regresar, sino porque olvidaste decir adiós. ¿Por qué París y no otra ciudad del mundo? París es una ficción, es Oz. París es el lugar que ya conoces sin haber ido y que te evoca mil sensaciones. Es una ciudad idealizada que, al llegar, corresponde y se muestra próxima a la imaginación. No es lo que te enseña solamente, es lo que te evoca. París es el de los mosqueteros, el de la Revolución, el de los años veinte y sus pintores, el de los sesenta y la nouvelle vague. París siempre ha sido un acicate en mi literatura y una inspiración en lo cultural. Esta novela habla de la memoria y del olvido. Empieza con un hecho real, con la historia de una mujer que es incapaz de olvidar, Jill Price. A partir de ahí desarrollo el recorrido de un escritor que quiere volver a los lugares donde fue feliz. ¿Crees en el amor a primera vista? Claro que creo en el amor a primera vista. Y a segunda vista, incluso a tercera. Hay que creer en el amor, todo lo demás es ac-

cesorio. Hay que amar, enamorarse y dejarse sorprender. Todos estamos enamorados de algo, de algún lugar o de alguien. El resto es muy triste. ¿Crees que las personas nos ocupamos lo suficiente en cuidar del medio ambiente? No cuidamos el medio ambiente lo suficiente. No hay más que pasear y mirar como el suelo está lleno de chicles y colillas. Respetamos muy poco la naturaleza. Mira la playa, mucho cartel de “perros no” y los que dejan la basura, la botella abandonada, la ceniza, la bolsa de patatas y las latas son los humanos. Hay mil ejemplos que dejan claro que no cuidamos el medio ambiente porque nos creemos que ha venido regalado y que ya lo cuidarán otros. Como si no se fuera a acabar, como si fuera eterno. En fin. El gran error de este siglo. ¿Qué defiende Maxím Huerta? Defiendo la libertad, la igualdad, la tolerancia, los derechos humanos, la diversidad, los cimientos de nuestra civilización y de todas las naciones democráticas. Los principios de paz a los que no debemos renunciar, la prosperidad y un futuro basado en la convivencia. Defiendo la cultura. axim Huerta is a journalist, writer, presenter, and now: a travel blogger as well. He is a member of the Television Arts and Science Academy, and was awarded with the: Primavera Prize in 2014 for his fourth novel: La Noche Soñada. We seized the opportunity of having him in Albir and asked him to give us more details about his novel and himself. He inmediately agreed. It is a great honour for our magazine to have the collaboration of a man so commited with the culture and with the principles of a free and uncensored society.
What is your recent novel: “La parte escondida del Iceberg” about? La parte escondida del Iceberg is a novel full of emotions. It is a novel written from and with the heart. It is the result of my previous novels. This time i have followed my instincts, in fact, it looks like if I had handwritten it instead of using the computer. As a result, you can definetely feel the strenght of the lines.I really wanted a transparent book so i decided to go and write to the places i mention in my novel. Sometimes you need to go back, not because you want to, but because you forgot to say goodbye.

Why Paris and not any other city? Paris is fiction. It is Oz. Paris is the place you know without even going to visit it, and a place that evoques you a thousand sensations. It is a city located in the minds of everybody that, when you finally visit it, really corresponds that idea and gets even more closer to your imagination. Paris is not only about what it teaches you but what it makes you feel. She is the city of the musketeers, of the Revolution, of the 1920s and its great painters, of the 1960s and the nouvelle vague. Paris has always been a part of my literature and a cultural inspiration. Do you believe in love at first sight? Of course, I do believe in it. In fact, I believe in love at second and even third sight. We must believe in love, the rest is just accesory. We have to love, fall in love, and let the others surprise us. We are all in love with something, in love with a place or with someone. The rest is really sad. Do you think people actually care enough about the environment? We do not care enough about the environment. You just have to go for walk and see
the sidewalks full of gums and cigars. We feel Little respect for nature. Look at the beach, lots of signs saying: No dogs, but what about those who throw garbage out of the baskets? What about those who intentionally leave their bottles abandoned? What about the cigar ashes, the french fries bags, and the cans? There are thousands of examples to prove that we do not care about the environment. We all think that the others are the ones supposed to take actions. We never see the environment as something that can be destroyed, we see it as something that will last forever. Anyway, this is one of our biggest mistakes. What does Maxim Huerta defend? I defend freedom, equality, tolerance, human rights, diversity; in other words, I defend the pilars of our society and the ones of any democratic nation. I defend the principles of peace, prosperity, and the ones of a future based on living together. I defend the culture. We could ask you millions of questions and stay with you for more than 200 thousand hours, that is why we hope to have another chance with you in the future. ARE NOT ADDICTS BECAUSE THEY WANT TO Carmen Chacón - Psicóloga
L
as conductas adictivas son muy variadas (drogas, juego, compras, sexo, trabajo, nuevas tecnologías, etc.) Son conductas que pueden estar en la cotidianeidad de cualquiera de nosotros y la diferencia está en la relación que establecemos con ellas. Una adicción es una enfermedad con un potente correlato psicológico, social y por supuesto físico. La fisiología de un adicto no es la de una persona sana, a muchos niveles pero el más importante quizá sea a nivel cerebral. Su cerebro sufre cambios significativos en regiones que afectan a la cognición, a la emoción, a la conducta y a algo muy importante para entender la enfermedad, a su voluntad. El adicto tiene una fuerte compulsión (no es un simple deseo) de ejecutar la conducta adictiva. No poder ejecutarla le produce un potente malestar en forma de ansiedad, insomnio, apatía, depresión, miedo, dolor físico en ocasiones, alteraciones de la conciencia, etc. Potentes sensaciones que le empujan a ejecutar la acción, porque ese sería el remedio para semejante malestar. Sinceramente, cuántos de nosotros no haríamos eso que, aunque no es bueno para mí a la larga, ahora mismo me calmaría? No obstante, como otras enfermedades, lo necesario es ponerse en manos de los profesionales. Las cosas pueden cambiar pero en nosotros está la responsabilidad de dar el paso para recuperarnos

mong the several things that cause addiction we can mention drugs, gambling, shopping, work, sex, new technologies, etc. Addictions may be present in anyone´s life; however, the difference is based on how we deal with it. An addiction is a disease strongly related to psychological, social and, of course, physical subjects. The physiology of an addicted person has nothing to do with the one of a healthy individual, and the greatest difference lies at the brain level. The brain of an addict suffers som significant changes that affect cognition, emotions, the behaviour, and, above all, their will. This last thing makes them unable to understand and struggle against their condition. An addcit has a strong compulsion (not a mere desire) to execute the addictive behaviour. If they cannot feel this compulsion, they experience a sense of discomfort that results in anxiety, imsomnia, apathy, depression, fear, physical pain in some cases, mental disturbances, etc. All these lead them to feed the addiction and see it as a way to solve that discomfort. Think about it, how many of you will say no to something that supposedly makes you feel better even though it may be harmful? However, like any other kind of disease, what is really necessary is to go and see a professional. Things may change, but it is up to us to take the first step towards recovery.

Alguna vez has sentido como tu cuerpo segregaba adrenalina en una situación de peligro? Así es como puedes sentirte ejercitando deportes de extremo. La mayoría de ellos peligrosos, obligan a tener un buen nivel físico y mental, a fuerza de mucho entrenamiento. Otros requisitos a tener en cuenta son: explorar a fondo los lugares donde se van a practicar saltos, descensos... y un mínimo conocimiento de primeros auxilios. Juanma Cardoso es un amante del deporte. Presidente del club de BBX de la Nucia, dedica su tiempo a entrenar a los miembros del club y a organizar las rutas y competiciones. Pero su pasión por el deporte le ha llevado a practicar los deportes de máximo extremo como escalada clásica, deportiva y en rocódromo, descenso de barrancos y cañones...DH (descenso en bicicleta)....Dirt jump (modalidad de saltos en bicicleta) y BMX (carreras). Juanma tú que eres un crack y solo hay que ver las fotos. ¿Qué consejo los o las atrevidas que se quieren iniciar en estos deportes? Que dieran cursos al principio y se informasen muy bien de la actividad a realizar.

Other requirements are: exploring really well the places you are going to be performing your jumps and descents, and having some background on first aid techniques. Juanma Cardoso is a sports lover. He is the President of the BMX Club in La Nucía. He devotes his time to training the club members and organize the competitions and routes. His passion for sports led him to practice other extreme sports like: classic, sport, and wall climbing, ravine and canyon descents, DH, dirt jumps, and BMX races. Juanma you are a crack and just have to see the photos. What advice do the daring ones that want to start in these sports? That they give courses at the beginning and are well informed of the activity to be carried out.
