Y FOR LIFE HOW DID YOU FEEL? “At Relay for Life, everybody had a great time. We (our club) prepared a photo booth with super heroes (the theme) as the background to help fundraise. We also did some laps and stayed up all night walking/ running. This all took place at Silverado High School. Relay for Life is a fundraiser towards cancer society and we do this to show that cancer doesn’t sleep— so why should we? I personally enjoyed doing this event. It’s a matter that I take personal, and I do everything I can to help the fight against cancer.” 12, Michael Camino

RECAP: RELAY “ Out of all of the events I went to this year, Relay For Life was the most memorable one. GVKC helped fundraise to kick cancer’s butt, stayed up all night, went to go run/ walk and experience how cancer doesn’t sleep at all. There were many activities held during this event. Like, a talent show (some of out members participated and did an awesome job) and where a boy dresses up as a girl. Overall, I enjoyed this event. It’s truly an event everyone should experience/ participate! Plus, it’s also for a good cause. Relay For Life is an event I would recommend and definitely go back to! 10, Louise Suaybaguio (Bulletin Editor)

“O
TC was a huge success! I learned so much about my posi-
tion and got to meet all the secretaries from three different divisions. Our instructors gave us some valuable tips and tricks for the Monthly Report Form and some additional tips for personal organization and time management. Being able to host OTC was also great for all of our new officers who got to meet the Lieutenant Governors. And, of course, we got to celebrate our fabulous new Region Advisor, Mrs. Santee! “ 11, Diane Sorkhab (Secretary)

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Hello Gators! This past month for Green Valley Key Club has been filled with fun, service, and its own difficulties that we always learn from. Our club advisor and IP assistant region advisor, Mrs. Hanna Santee has been put into the region advisor position! We are all so proud and appreciative of her. Our club was able to help at one of our feeder schools’ Spring carnival and host our Officer Training Conference. We are so honored to be able to host such huge events; organizing and setting up is actually an activity that our members enjoy. Also, I truly hope that AP/IB testing went well for all and I look forward to spending more of my term with my fantastic board, advisors, and members. Thank you for your service! Nia Fernandez
