This month has been an awesome month of preparation for back to school! We had an Officer Meeting in the beginning of the month to make some final decisions for the new school year. We had our Freshman Orientation and the August DCM! Keep an eye out for our future events and dont forget to sign up to serve your community! See you next time <3

word from PRESIDENT

Sincerely, Sarah Pelle 2019-2020 President

August was nerve wracking since we were starting the new school year. There was a lot of discussion about service events for our members. We also had freshman orientation and there was a lot of recruiting happening. It went fairly well. We also had our August joint dcm which was very fun. It was based off of California’s 626 night market but our was called 702KC market. A lot of clubs were selling food and raising money for good causes. Lastly, we had our first meeting. There was a good amount of people who showed up for the first meeting which was really good. I’m excited for what next month brings us.

Officer Meeting Freshman Orient.

6.

Officer Meeting WHEN: August 1st from 11am-12:30pm WHERE: IHOP WHAT: At the first officer meeting of this month, we discussed a lot about what we are going to do for RTC. Such as when to have fees due, spirit gear, and of course when we start RTC Prep. Our officers also talked about different ideas for service events, and what we should have for Freshman Orientation. We finalized some ideas through voting and finished with our meals.

7.

August DCM WHEN: August 6th from 10-11:30am WHERE: Clark High school WHAT: At this DCM, we went over how to approach incoming freshman's for our freshman orientation. As well as, having a market! Different clubs sold different treats to raise money for good causes. This was a great experience for all of our key clubbers.

8.

Freshman Orientation WHEN: August 9th from 811am WHERE: Green Valley High school WHAT: At the Freshman Orientation, we talked to many students and parents about what we at key club do, what our morals were, etc. Students who were interested signed an information sheet in front our booth. This allowed the students to get reminds on their phones for any upcoming events or meetings. We also had to prepare prior to the freshman orientation, so our officers got together to make the Key Club Poster.

9.

First General Meeting 2019 WHEN: August 12th from 2:15-3:00pm WHERE: GVHS LIbrary WHAT: This First Meeting of the School year was a HUGE success! We had many new faces at the meeting and many positive responses. We talked about what we do at key club and what to look forward to as members. We had a sign-up sheet for dog toys and nearly everyone in the room signed up! After that, everyone had a slice of pizza to enjoy.
