Word from Editor This May was pretty exciting for it being the end of the school year. We had the Officer Training Conference, which allowed me to understand more about my position. I am so excited to test out my newly learned tricks for my newsletters. May was a good month overall. See you next month! <3 - Angel Mascarenas 2019-2020 Bulletin Editor

Word from President May was pretty slow for me not gonna lie. We didn't really have much planned because of school ending but we did have our graduation event and our members handed out programs to in coming families and our turn out was really good. So good that it almost seemed like we had too many people helping. But all in all, all that May consisted of was me brainstorming ideas and goals for the next key club term - Sarah Pelle 2019-2020 President

DCM Banquet

WHEN: April 24, 2019 from 5:00pm7:00pm WHERE: Valley HS

At this DCM Banquet, there was an abundant of yummy food that was presented at the end of the meeting. We also had the standard representatives from each club talking about their new & old business. Not to forget a fun icebreaker. This icebreaker needed you to milk the cow! It may sound weird, but it was a lot of fun. Hopefully we can do this icebreaker when the school year starts up again.

"This was my first DCM banquet. I had a really nice experience, we got to have lots f fun and say goodbye to our LTG and our officers from the 2018-29 term. I was proud to see my friends receive awards. We ate delicious food, took pictures, etc."Bharathi Kosaraju

May DCM

WHEN: May 15 from 5:00pm-6:00pm WHERE: Del Sol HS

In this May DCM we had the club representatives talk about New & Old business. After that, everyone who attended made cards for nurses, as a way of appreciating everything they do. While we were working on the cards, our LTG led a “Goals Game”, where you have to say a goal you have for your club, but it cannot be already said! If you repeat it, you hvae to think of 3 more goals! After we finished the cards, everyone had some food and then called their parents to pick them up. It was a very interactive DCM, which I’m sure all the jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjclubs enjoyed.

Relay For Life

WHEN: May 4 from 4:00pm-6:00pm WHERE: Silverado HS

Relay for life was an event where attendees had the opportunity to participate in many fun activities in honor of cancer patients. Those who went reported it being a lot of fun, and something they would do again. “At Relay For Life I was a Team Captain for my individual group so we could stay the whole night. Throughout the night there was many little activities like dodgeball, a beauty pageant, and the best part was getting to meet so many people. The most cherishing part was the light ceremony where there was these little bags that represented cancer patients. During this time we turned off the lights and let the bags light up while we walked in silence to honor this cancer patients. ♥️” - Lorelei Casillan “Relay for life was on May 4th from 4:00pm to 11:00pm for our club and it was an amazing experience! I got to meet my friends from various key clubs and make new ones. Delicious food and drinks were sold that kept us fuelled as we walked the track in remembrance of those fighting cancer. I would definitely go again.” Ly Huynh
