Word from Editor Welcome Back! This month Green Valley Key Club is going going in the preparation of RTC. We are working on our cheers, taking care of region stuff, and making sure that everything is going smoothly. We are only a couple weeks away from RTC and we couldn’t be more excited. Besides RTC, we participated in Open House Babysitting, Kiwanis Family Picnic, and held our Annual Car Wash on September 21. All events were a success and something our members would look forward to do again. I hope to see you next month!! Keep on servin’ <3

Sincerely, Angel Mascarenas 2019-2020

Word from President October has be VERY very stressful considering we have RTC this month. We are the host school so we had to start our rtc preps very very early. We are currently working on perfecting our cheers and we are starting to focus on region stuff. We are doing things that the LTGs have asked us to do and we are on track. But October has been very stressful but it will be well worth it. Sincerely, Sarah Pelle 2019-2020

Annual Car Wash When: September 21

kk

9am-3:00pm

Where: Green Valley High School What: This event was a huge success in the fundraising department and we got to get our club out there! We sold pre sale tickets for the car wash during the homecoming festival! Our members cheered their hearts out and brought many people to our booth. Then, on Sep. 21, we held our Annual Car Wash! We raised over $300 for cmn and dcon. The members made sure that all the cars they cleaned came out looking spotless. After all the cars were cleaned and it was time to pack up, members had some water fun. Overall, this event was a good one! It was successful in our goals, and fun for our members.

Kiwanis Family Picnic When: September 28 kkkk 11am-1pm Where: Discovery Park What: This event was a fun way for our members and clubs to be informed on how Kiwanis can help us, and how we can help them. There were games for everyone to play that introduced other club members to each other. There was delicious food, as well as some yummy food! There were hotdogs, chips, cookies, and water provided. Overall, our members loved this event. 9

Open House Babysitting When: September 25 @ Both Lunches

Where: Green Valley High School

What: At this event, members came back to school at 5:00pm to watch the children of teachers participating in open house! We played games such as head-up 7-up, tag, kick ball (with a rolled up piece of paper, haha), and we all colored. Overall, the members had fun and so did the kids :)
