Word Word from from Editor Editor Welcome Back! This month has been significantly productive in our service events, fundraisers, and school events! Our club had service events at the Fleetwood Mac Concert, Ohana Movie Night, and even Dog Toy making! All of which, were a huge success. Let’s not forget about our Panda Express Fundraiser, which thankfully went really well. We also attended some school events that both put our club out there, but also allowed us to fundraise. These events were the Club Fair and First Friday. Something else we have done this month is started RTC preps! Look out because GV Key Club ain’t playing no games! Anyways, I hope to see you next time and keep on serving!

Sincerely, Angel Mascarenas 2019-2020

Word from President Ok so september has been pretty good so far. We had just started our RTC preps and I’m hoping to grow the club more by that. We have lots of service events coming up for this year. We had a fundraiser on August 28 and we raised money for blue star mothers! Sincerely, Sarah Pelle 2019-2020

Club Fair When: August 23 @ Both Lunchs

Where: Green Valley High School

What: At this event, our more experienced members and officers talked about what key club is and why they should join. It was a great opportunity to reach out to the students of Green Valley and helped get our members some hours for helping us out! Overall, we got more than 15 sign up for informational texts to keep them updated!

First Friday When: September 6 @ Both Lunches

Where: Green Valley High School What: This event was a huge success in the fundraising department and we got to get our club out there! We served “Walking Tacos for both lunches. The students really enjoyed the food, and spread the word. Our members went and advertised, while the officers worked both lunches to prepare the Walking Tacos. Overall, was an awesome event.

Fleetwood Mac Tribute Concert When: September 13 6:00pm8:00pm

Where: Henderson Pavilion What: At the Fleetwood Mac tribute concert, members worked together to make sure everyone got to their seats. They welcomed the guests and worked efficiently so the concert would run smoothly. In the end, members got to watch the show and relax. Overall, it was a good experience for our members and a fun one at that.

“Ok so for the concert, I helped people find their seats. It helped me interact with others and to work with my partner to ensure no seating troubles. At the end, I got to enjoy the show. :) - Sanjna Tailor 9

Ohana Movie Night When: September 14 4:30pm-7:30pm

Where: Henderson Pavilion What: Ohana Movie Night was an event that appealed to our community because it was free admission, there were food trucks and hula dancers,, and at 7:00, the movie Moana was played on a big screen. Our members worked some of the fun games the event had set up and even got to see some parts of the show. Overall, it was an event that we would love to do again.

“For the Ohana movie night, I was there helping families take pictures with (a cardboard cutout of) Moana! There were some technical difficulties but my friends and I were able to handle it and we all had fun in the process. After handling the picture booth, we were able to lay back and enjoy the weather - Sanjna Tailor
