The international sports article manufacturer Zanier (Lienz) has been synonymous for the highest level of expertise in the area of gloves for winter and mountain sports for over 45 years. Alpine skiers, free skiers, cross-country skiers, gliding enthusiasts and many more can find the right gloves at Zanier. A special field of the long-established company is heated gloves, which have been continuously developed since 1999.
THE CHALLENGE
THE CHALLENGE Zanier was looking for a logistics partner to reliably handle procurement, warehousing, picking and transports across Europe’s borders. The challenge: ● Ensuring speedy delivery to the customer (sports business) ● Managing a complex product range: 4,000 different articles, 20 types of packaging ● Offering the largest just-in-time warehouse: 150,000 pairs of gloves permanently in stock in Hall/Tyrol ● Managing seasonal fluctuations: 8,500 packages in the high season (September to January)

THE SOLUTION Within just four weeks, Gebrüder Weiss implemented a complete logistics solution for Zanier – including moving the entire warehouse from Lienz to Hall/Tyrol. The services at a glance: ● Collection of goods from several production locations – from Austria to China, by air and sea freight ● Timely delivery of goods in over 25 countries ● Specially trained employees (order picking) ● Attractive additional services: customer notification, express service (Austria within 24 hours, Europe within 48 to 72 hours)
