ALGORITHM

SKETCHBOOK

WEEK 1 This series of sketches shows the usage of using points, lines, interpolate to form and loft into carious shapes.

WEEK 2 This series of sketches introduces the usage of creating geometical shapes such as cylinders formed on a curves surface. The algorithm for creating random extrusions is played in these sketches.

WEEK 3 Creating rotatable surfaces was introduced this week, Therefore, in the second sketch, incorporating the random command into the sizw and rotation of each surface is introduced.

Random rotation and sizes of circles created on a surface

WEEK 4 A number of of algorithms were taught and experimented with this week.

Intoducing the application of colours in Grasshopper

Planarising and extruding circles on a curved surface,

Using Lists and CullNth to select areas and shapes to cull onto a surface

WEEK 5 Using Graph curves, points, interpolate and contours to create a curved brick wall

Modyfign the gridshell definition to create a different form as well as the incorporation of pipes.

Using a lattice grid to and using points as wellas pipes to experimet with different froms and materiality

WEEK 6 Attractor points are played around with in these series of sketches.

Using attractor points to repel grids

Using attractor curves to create differnt sized triangles within the triangle mesh.

Using attractor curves to create different sied squares.

WEEK 7 These sketches are used for the iterations in Part B of this assignment, Shapes, forms, and sizesand culls are mainly incorporated in all definistions.

WEEK 8 Using grasshopper tp create the topographical landform of this project. The shaped and erosion of the landform is olayed around with by adjusting sliders.

WEEK 9 Box morph and using curves and lines to create arcs and volumes which responds to the height that the curve or line is placed on.

WEEK 10 Using box morph and patterning from the previous week, to experiment creating a fabric like structure with boxes without the use of kangaroo, the definition for creating bulding surfaces that can be altered using sliders are used.

WEEK 11

In Part C of this assignment, using the plug-ing “Shortest Walk’ is applied to analysis possible routes based on the topographical condition.

WEEK 12

These series of sketches are from this assignment where using definitions that I have applied during hte previous weeks to create a form for the final design.
