Roof Systems In the e-learning, the main structures in the roofing system is discussed. The slope of the roofing system influences the material -

A roof pitch with a lower pitch would require metal sheeting A roof with a higher pitch could use roofing tiles A flat roof would require a water proofing membrane because unlike a sloping structure it the structure is unable to let rain water to flow to the gutters quickly.

It is also mentioned that the columns would need to be positioned to suit the roof span capacity aswell as the interior layout of it is being used. The common structures seen in the roof systems are
