THE HISTORY OF KMS

Stone Sale started shortly after WWII on a field belonging to Mr Ray Pardoe opposite Stone church and comprised of cultivation equipment, tractors etc. the majority of which was surplus equipment bought over from America during the war. The site moved to the Summerfield hostel site where the sale grew and also saw large quantities of timber and roofing materials including RSJ’s which were sold for on farm buildings. The Summerfield site was later sold for residential development and the sale moved to Stanklyn Lane over 10 years ago. The sale has seen 11 sales every year and with increased sales of tractors, machinery, spares, vehicles and land rovers as well as a large quantity of horticultural and garden equipment as well as some building supplies. Roger Sadler, FRICS FAAV. Since then, the demand for clean and tidy tractors, telehandlers, plant and machinery has strengthened even further throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Many of the local traders are reporting that decent, quality stock is in very short supply. The sale at Kidderminster attracts both trade entries as well as a larger proportion of genuine from farm entries which are hotly contested at the sale. We have introduced an internet bidding section to the sale and now have arrangements to store and load machinery bought online which will increase the numbers of buyers and the prices paid. We are always happy to inspect machinery and discuss

values and marketing. We also regularly arrange for machinery to be collected and transported to site. For more information on the above please get in touch with any of the contacts listed over leaf.
