Sponsorship Package

Aiesec South Africa

Foreword For four years, AIESEC International has brought together top youth leaders in over 120 countries to India (in 2010), Kenya (in 2011), Russia (in 2012), Egypt (in 2013) and Taiwan (in 2014) for our International Youth to Business Forum. The Youth to Business Forum has been a platform for youth to connect with top business leaders to discuss the issues shaping our world. However this year, AIESEC has decided to rebrand the Youth to Business Forum into the Youth Speak Forum as we noticed the need for youth to connect not only with business leaders but also with leaders in the not-for-proďŹ t sectors and the international decision makers such as the United Nations. In South Africa, the Youth Speak Forum powered by AIESEC South Africa seeks to accomplish the same goals for South Africans. We recognize the social and economic issues persisting in South Africa and the need for youth and top leaders of the country to come together and join forces to make positive impact for the country.

About aiesec

For over 60 years, AIESEC has been developing youth leadership all over the world and up to date, we are present in over 120 countries in the world. AIESEC is an independent, non-political, not-for-profit youth-run organization. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, disabilities, creed, or religion, nor on the basis of national, ethnic or social origin. It all started after the Second World War when a group of young people determined that cross-cultural understanding was essential to prevent similar conflicts. We strive to achieve peace and fulfillment of humankind’s potential. We place our confidence in youth as the key to unlock a better future, we believe that leadership is the fundamental solution and it can be developed in anyone. We enable young people to develop their leadership through learning from practical experiences in challenging environments and we do this through cross-cultural exchanges and by creating these opportunities. That is why we strive to develop self-aware world citizens who strive to empower others and who are solution-oriented when facing challenges.

The objective of the Youth Speak Survey and the Youth Speak Insights is to understand the current trends taking place in order to shape the discussions for the Youth Speak Forum

The Youth Speak Forum will be following these 3 guidelines: Inspire, Engage, Act. The Inspire and Engage elements will be keynote speeches and interactive workshops. The Act element will be a case competition where delegates will have to create projects to solve the problems presented.

With the winning project ideas from the Youth Speak Forum, we would like to potentially move forward and make them a reality. The projects, with the aim to solve a current issue in South Africa or for the organization that posed the challenge, could then be created and implemented by the participating students with the help of AIESEC and the business and thought leaders if they would like to get involved.
