World Citizen
Why AIESEC? As the world’s largest student run organisation, we know exactly what students want. We are students too, Who better to facilitate your exchange? The process of going on exchange is completely managed by a fellow student who has dedicated time to developing themselves through the AIESEC program. This means while you’re going through exchange processes such as project management or service delivery, these services are carried out by the members of the organization. In choosing AIESEC you’re not only developing yourself, but also the students facilitating this for you. What’s more is that you could be funnelling your money, upwards of R20 000 into other exchange agencies. But AIESEC programs are far cheaper and open up to a diverse network of like minded young people.

Cost Breakdown Our exchange fee is R3500 per person per exchange. AIESEC is run as a non-profit organisation and our main source of income is volunteer fees so without charging a fee we would not be able to exist. Volunteer fee levels are set to match costs. We charge a fee to volunteers for all our placements in order to the costs of running our organisation. We keep the fees as low as we can but we have to ensure that we can provide the level of support that we promise. The exchange fee goes towards: • Maintaining our AIESEC Opportunities Portal • Stipend for our National Team comprised of 7 internationals working full-time
