Print and Paste Manchester
Print and Paste Manchester is a curated exhibition space loated on a 16 sheet sized billboard. The artwork exhibited has one function, to create a positive reaction within the general public and be thought provoking, a design that will stay with them after they have walked past. The reasoning behind our typographical poster, ‘Why limit yourself?’ is to promote the idea of leaving social networking, moving away from being concerned over the number of friends you have on facebook and embrace the more personal and traditional forms of communication. The poster is to promote the idea of a traditional pen pal, one that you don’t just tweet or internet message. It will be designed to make people question and think about the many possibilities for making new friends just by picking up a pen. The copy, ‘ There are 7 billion characters in the world. Why limit yourself to just 140’ is in reference to the limit you have on what you want to say on social media networks such as Twitter.
