National Tourist Routes in Hardanger The National Tourist Routes comprise 18 selected motoring trips through majestic natural surroundings in Norway. Viewing points and rest areas have been created along the routes employing innovative architecture and thought-provoking works of art that reinforce the experience of the beautiful landscape. All of the 18 routes, from JĂŚren in the south to Varanger and in the north, have their own unique character in terms of the roads, the natural surroundings and history. National Tourist Route Hardanger and National Tourist Route Hardangervidda transport us back to sceneries and landscapes associated with national romanticism. Here you can experience mountains, fjords, waterfalls and glaciers around valleys of fruit orchards. Along the tourist routes, there are places where you can stop to enjoy a meal, go for a swim, try your hand as an angler or just enjoy the view and the silence. nasjonaleturistveger.no/en

The scenery and waterfalls in Husedalen simply take your breath away. Four stunning waterfalls are close to each other along the hiking trail from Kinsarvik up to the Hardangervidda mountain plateau. A hike from the car park to the uppermost fall and back takes 5-6 hours. The area is easily accessible and a good alternative for hikes of any length. An easier alternative is to walk from the centre of Kinsarvik along the river to the first waterfall. Start walking from the crossroad at route 13 in the centre of Kinsarvik towards Husedalen. 45 minutes walk each way. Free map at the tourist office in Kinsarvik. Husedalen D 10 GPS 60.3520 6.7570
