Our plan for our town’s The coronavirus pandemic is testing the town’s courage and resilience. During very difficult times our residents, businesses, community groups and council staff are responding positively, rallying around and being there to support others. Harlow will rebuild and recover from the impact the pandemic is having on our town. We have a plan, which aims to build a stronger Harlow as a result, and a town that creates, takes and opens up opportunities.

We have five priorities for improving the town and improving your lives. But we now have a sixth priority, a new top priority.
We will work to our six priorities and all our councillors, staff and partners will work together in promoting and delivering this recovery plan.

Create a stronger and more resilient Harlow: • We will support and work with our local businesses and organisations so the Harlow pound stays in our town • We will secure the best possible regeneration and infrastructure improvements for the town’s economic recovery and for your health and wellbeing
Be prepared for the future: • We will work with other public organisations to ensure, if there are future outbreaks or emergencies, that you are given the best possible health protection • We will ensure that the public services that we provide and others deliver on our behalf continue and where necessary restore the services impacted by the pandemic • We will ensure that our services after COVID-19 meet your changing needs
