As 2014 howls to an end with one of the coldest winters on the record books let’s follow that Yellow Brick Road to the heart of mid-America; Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas. Hashing is alive and well from Lincoln to Omaha this winter, but come June you might set your sights on MINK in Weeping Water, Nebraska. If you prefer the heat and humidity of the tropics to a white Christmas in a winter wonderland, join Wet & Dry and the Grenada H3 for her adventurous trek along the volcanic peaks that dot this island paradise. Virgins are always welcome at the Grenada H3, but new shoes are optional. Back in the southwest corner of Denmark, but not all that far from Copenhagen and Arhus, join the Odense-Nyborg Hash House Harriers who will celebrate their 25th Jubilee this June. These Danes have a long and proud hashing tradition so why not join them to celebrate this milestone. Then we are off to Asia for Vietnam Nash Hash in Nha Trang, Cambodia Nash Hash in Phnom Penh, and Pan Philippine Nash Hash in Angeles City. Pan Asia Hash will be in the former French outpost of Pondicherry, India next year. Well known hashman Sashi “Lord
Krishna” Varma promises a superb event, which will be a far cry from last year’s fiasco in Pattaya, or the previous Pan Asia in Angeles. Anyone who has attended a Lord Krishna event knows that his organizing skills are among the best in the world of hashing. We are pleased to bring you another volume of the Stockholm Absolut Hash Trash. Many thanks to the editor of theStockholm Absolut Hash Trash, and to our hard working editors, columnists and contributors around the world. Harrier Magazine’s annual Best Events of the Year edition is coming up in January. Be sure to email me nominations for your favorite HHH events for 2015. The deadline for nominations is the 5th of December 2014. I look forward to seeing you on trail soon. or those of us from Nebraska Kennels who like to do a little “Road-Tripping” to some of the bigger events, the most common question we always get from other hashers is always “There’s hashing in Nebraska?”. The answer is ABSOLUTELY!!!

o there we were.... entering the jungle, once again. The sun going down, bugs biting, dodging mud (usually unsuccessfully), and Soca music pumping in the distance, reminding us we were missing all the fun. “Can anyone see paper? I can’t see shit...” “Uh... I think... yes, yes, here’s a little over here, come this way....” “OUCH!” “Are you ok?” “Um, yeah, I’m okay, but I didn’t see that branch, it almost stabbed me. It’s quite dark in here” THUD! “Was that you Wet & Dry? Are you ok?” “Yeah, I’m ok, I found a soft spot of ground to fall on...” Eventually someone had a moment of clarity and said, “This is not going so well.” A couple more near misses with the jungle floor and, “I think it’s getting too tough to keep going.” Everyone remained silent, showing no interest in debating. “We can’t see paper and we’ll never get out in one piece if we keep tripping and falling. At this point, how are we NOT going to get lost? It’s already dark. We’re obviously the only ones left out here...”

n case you hadn’t heard, the bi-annual Pan Philippine Nash Hash is due to take place in and around Angeles City, Philippines, on 19, 20 & 21 March 2015. So far, over 120 hashers have signed up for this great hashing event and the rate of sign-ups is increasing as the event draws nearer. Our policy for now is ‘the more the merrier’ so hurry up and sign up now before we have to commit to a final number for the catering contracts.

Angeles is home to the largest hash club in the Philippines and has much to offer visiting hashers. As well as its legendary night life with more than a hundred night clubs / girly bars / discos and live music venues, it is only a short jeepney ride from large tracts of beautiful rain forest offering a vast range of diverse trails in mountainous countryside.
