Editor’s Notes: IS SMALLER BETTER AT HHH EVENTS? “Any intelligent fool can make things bigger....... It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction.” ― E.F. Schumacher, internationally renown economist - 1911-1977

In what may be an emerging trend for some popular HHH events, registrations were cut off at 281 participants for New Zealand Nash this month. Indochina Mekong Hash limited registrants to a similar number in Hanoi last year. Both events had waiting lists for hashers who did not make the cut-off. On the other end of the spectrum, Pan Asia Hash expects some 5000 hashers on board for this megaevent scheduled for Pattaya this July.

CONTENTS

Welcome aboard as the February Digital of Harrier Magazine takes you on a grand hashing tour with stops in the Big Easy for Mardi Gras, Lisbon, and on a luxury liner headed for 8 European HHH hotspots.

For those with racist tendencies, join a Bangkok hashman for a marathon in the Big Mango, and other running & multi-sport challenges coming up in the Asia-Pacific region. NEWS FLASH Breaking News:

Mekong Indochina Hash 2013 Dates Change The Chinese government has decided to hold the China International Travel Mart (CITM) in Kunming on the same weekend as the Mekong Hash was planned. This was only announced recently. Expected attendence at the CITM event is approx 250,000+. As this will create huge logistical problems, such as lack of hotel rooms, over priced hotels rooms, no buses for rent, local scenic attractions closed to the public or overcrowded, and above all, increased security, the date for the ICMH 2013 WILL be changed.

CONTENTS

Therefore, please do not make travel and accommodation arrangements until a new date is confirmed, published and advised to you, by email, in the same manner as this one.

It is most likely to be the weekend after, namely Nov 1-3, but a local venue needs to be secured before confirming. In the unlikely event that this does not work for someone registered already, refunds would of course be available if absolutely required. Any inconvenience caused is regrettable, however, it is unavoidable, and better to make such a decision earlier, rather than later. Thanking you in advance for your understanding.

The Lisbon Hash House Harriers (LH3) was inaugurated on 4 June 1987. We are a family hash and have regular hashers from 7 months to 70 years of age. We welcome families and dogs. Our hashes usually attract from 30-70 people. Hashes typically last for 2-2.5 hours, including sufficient time to catch your breath, and participate in the regroup party (hash circle) where snacks, soft drinks, wine and beer are consumed. At the hash circle we recognize newcomers (virgins), punish those who have committed misdemeanors (with beer penalties) and sing (mostly off key) traditional hash songs. We also have social events such as BBQ’s, dinners and weekend away hashes to interesting places in Portugal.

12 HARRIER

CONTENTS

We meet every other Saturday at 13.45 behind the Estoril Casino for a walk, run or ramble through the countryside. From the Casino, we proceed by automobile to where the hash begins which is typically in the Sintra/Cascais area. Both a runners’ (Rambos) and a walkers (Wimps) route are set. The walkers’ route is normally about 5-7 kilometers and the runners’ loop about 12 kilometers. To defer the cost of snacks and refreshments, we collect a nominal fee of five euros for anyone over 12 years of age, and two euros for participants from 6-11 years; anyone under the age of six is free. The maximum fee per family is limited to 15 euros. For more information: http://www.lisbonh3.com/ “Lisbon Hash House Harriers LH3” on Facebook Hash Master “K2”: kccarlson@hotmail.com or 91 863 0050

The city of New Orleans, Louisiana is soon to be filled with party-seeking tourists. This February New Orleans is not only the home of this year’s American football championship game, Super Bowl XLVII, but also the week that follows is the world famous Mardi Gras celebration.

CONTENTS

In an effort to cut the history lesson short, the origins of Mardi Gras trace back to medieval Europe, and there’s some mention of “Boeuf Gras”, meaning fatted calf. Now we’ll jump across the pond to a French Canadian explorer “discovering” New Orleans, naming the city “Pointe du Mardi Gras” and establishing the “Fort Louis de la Louisiane,” now Mobile, Alabama. In light of their successes, this explorative party celebrates the first Mardi Gras.

20 HARRIER

CONTENTS

We hashers have Louisiana’s governor of 1740, Marquis de Vaudreuil, to thank for the Mardi Gras traditions to which we have grown accustomed. He established the model for the New Orleans Mardi Gras balls of today. One hundred years later street processions of masked partygoers with gaslight torches created the ambiance for romance and festivity that lead to the float filled parades we see each Fat Tuesday, a legal holiday in Louisiana, and dubbed the “Greatest Free Show on Earth”!

CONTENTS

So what does all this mean for the kennels of New Orleans, the NOH3, VooDoo H3, and Crescent Shiggy H3 and any lucky visiting hashers? According to Tidy Bowl Man, of the NOH3, and “self proclaimed ambassador,” “New Orleans is known as the original Bohemia, and it still holds true. Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) is a day of freedom in choices, costumes and letting your hair down.” Of course the local government does impose legal limitations to just how much hair you can let down, the most commonly enforced are sadly infractions concerning exposed genitalia and nipples. No hasher is foreign to the concept that what goes down-down must come out at some point, well use caution because public urination during Mardi Gras will get you 10 days in the clink. Tidy Bowl man warns that “because the courts are closed…you are f*cked.” it’s really more like 20 days this year.

CONTENTS

But we’re a rule-less society; so don’t let the man get you down! Tidy Bowl praises his city as the “party capitol of the United States,” and goes on to include the world. “While there are places like Rio de Janeiro, Key West, and several others, we [New Orleans] do it constantly and not just a particular week… New Orleans isn’t a destination it’s a culture. This is who we are, resilient, kind, rough, polite, aggressive, fun loving and your best friend… You will not find another Lady quite like Ms. New Orleans.” So 23 years ago a harriette quite like Ms. New Orleans, Gooey Blow, wanted to host something no other hash could, a Mardi Gras Hash! The first year had about 35 hashers in attendance at a hasherowned apartment and grew to a 400-person event hosted at a hotel that was later demolished. No, the hash was not to blame, but attendance declined after losing the hash hotel and being forced to move the event to more “upscale” accommodations.

CONTENTS

What originally started out as a weeklong event is now compressed into just three liver-straining, shiggy filled days. Hasherella, the mascot of Mardi Gras Madness, is a blow-up doll tied to a pole and held high above the hashers as they r*n through the streets. She’s quite the harriette, amassing beads from the

CONTENTS

floats and other partygoers. But, some people aren’t a fan of Hasherella or the hashers. Gooey says, “Every year a religious group marching on Bourbon Street condemns our songs and debauchery. We just sing louder. One Mardi Gras a woman…got so tired of hearing our songs that when she got off work, she ran out with a pair of scissors and stabbed Hasherella. What did we do? Well we had a funeral hash where everyone wore black and we ran through the [French] Quarter with [Hasherella] in a coffin, and had a beer check where she got stabbed. We even had the body [chalk] marked on the pavement.”

CONTENTS

Three kennels collaborate to host Mardi Gras Madness, the New Orleans H3, the Voodoo H3, and the Crescent Shiggy H3. Each kennel has a part to play with the NOH3 starting things off with a pub-crawl from hash-central. The Voodoo hosts breakfast the following day as well as a costume contest and of course a trail near the parade route. Crescent Shiggy H3 wraps up the event with one last breakfast, mimosas, a trail dubbed the “Shiggy of Shame”, followed by lunch and an evening of watching the parade. Online registration and more mis-information is available at the NOH3’s website, www.neworleanshash.com.

HASH TRAVEL

by Jurgen R. Schreiter

Hash Travel was founded in 2006 by AB “Automatic Balls, the GM of the Frankfurt Vineyard Hash. Imagine a vacation where you travel to the middle of nowhere and you believe that you are the first westerner to ever explore this remote area of the world. Feeling very satisfied with your achievement, you will more than likely be disappointed. It never fails, as there probably has been a German Hasher there before you. If you are looking for adventure coupled with hashing, perhaps it is a good idea to join them in one of their hash tours.

CONTENTS

The next hash travel tour will be The European Bus Tour Extraordinaire. Hashers will spend 12 days aboard a fabulous luxury 6-Star VIP Double Decker Party Bus. Every day hashers will enjoy a

unique hash experience in a different European capitol, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Brussels, Luxembourg, Amsterdam, Warsaw, Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius. You might say, 8 countries in 12 days is a moving too fast, yet with a sleeping cabin and a shower room located on the bus, hashers can leave their gear on the bus every morning and enjoy exploring and hashing in the city du jour. This is an unforgettable hashing experience for the tourists and hash enthusiasts amongst us. Automatic Balls influences can be attributed to his early days of hashing in Frankfurt, where he met The Wolf and learned the life of a travelling hasher. The Wolf was very well known in the hashing community. As retired Lufthansa management, it was cheap to travel the world, hashing in 80 countries and attending every World Inter Hash during his lifetime. The Wolf shared his enthusiasm for travel by asking others to join in the experience and organizing hash tours, amongst them, The Blue Danube and the Silk Road. He also encouraged and mentored the next generation of hash organizers and hash travellers, like AB.

CONTENTS

The Hash Travel philosophy is to create a hashing adventure with fellow hashers who have the same interest in travelling and experiencing the world off

the beaten path. Going away for a hash weekend or WIH is one thing, but a lot of hashers like to meet and travel with likeminded people, and then link this to a major hashing event. In the beginning, the Wolf and AB started organizing events and tours together as “Wolf and Friends & Hash Travel. As they both had many great ideas for the travelling hasher, they eventually branched off and each started organizing their own trips. Both the Wolf and AB had very good contacts in the travel industry, and they found their niche by combining hashing and travelling. With Hash Travel, AB concentrates on virgin hash territory mostly in Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia. There is a focus on Adventure Sightseeing, e.g. Trekking the Carpathian Mountains in the Ukraine, Heli-skiing in Kazakhstan and Adventures to Snowy Siberia in the dead of winter. The organization of Hash Travel is a mixture of help from the local hashes, travel agencies and local non-hashing contacts. If there is no local hash, they simply start their own hash run or pub crawl, whichever suits the group.

CONTENTS

Of course, the most famous Hash Travel event was the VODKA TRAIN, Moscow to Beijing in 18 days. Ninety-seven (97) hashers travelled though Siberia, Mongolia and China, with the ultimate destination of Interhash 2010 in Kuching, Malaysia. This was

actually the second VODKA TRAIN. The first vodka train was in 2007, when AB took a group comprised of all Frankfurt harriettes and himself. Tough job. In 2010, AB thought he might have 20-40 hashers, when suddenly, the registration “EXPLODED” and 97 hashers registered. In total, including tour guides and translators, there were 103 people in the hash group on the Trans-Siberian. This means 7.5 carriages, or one third of the regular Russian train! Even though it was a logistical challenge, AB and his fellow organizers had a lot of fun too since they received plenty of attention where ever the “Vodkateers” ventured in their bright red and yellow

VODKA TRAIN hash gear. The VODKA TRAIN 2011 was a more relaxed experience, with a much smaller group of hashers. In 2012, Hash Travel ventured outside its core region to trek in Oman, exploring the beautiful scenery and hashing with the Jebel H3 from Muscat. Last year, AB also had a more private challenge called marriage, and more importantly, the wedding party. Of course the ceremony could not be in an ordinary location, like Frankfurt. Instead, it had to be an adventure. Many hashers made their way to the Caramoan Islands in the Philippines, travelling by bus, minivan or Jeepney though the province of Bicol. Eventually, they all met on the beach and took a two hour outrigger pumpboat to paradise.

For the year 2013, there are several hashing adventures planned. For availability, check out www.hashtravel.com. • APRIL: European Bus Tour Extraordinaire in a luxury 6-Star VIP Double Decker Bus through Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Latvia and Lithuania; bus includes sleeping cabin and shower room • JUNE: Silk Road Adventure; follow the steps of Marco Polo and Genghis Khan though Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, similar to the Wolf and Friends 2008 edition • JULY: VODKA TRAIN IV: The famous TransSiberian Railway from Moscow to Beijing; Na zdorovje! • OCTOBER: Frankfurt Vineyard Hash 20th Anniversary in the vineyards of Portugal

CONTENTS

If you would like to join one of the tours, yet the date does not work for you, let AB know. Automatic Balls is willing to repeat various hash trips mentioned above if there is a group of hash travellers looking for adventure. All Hash Travel trips are non-profit. Any “profit” funds extra beers on the trip and also goes to charitable organisations usually in Ukraine, Russia or Mongolia.

Heat & Humility

at the

Bangkok Marathon By Osama Rajkhan

If there was running to be found, you need not waste much time looking if you live in Bangkok! Bangkok is home to a number of running clubs and a myriad of sports events, from the various social Hash House Harriers and Harriettes chapters to the annual Amari Watergate Midnight Run and the big doozie, the Standard Chartered Bangkok Marathon that takes place every year in November. Perhaps the same is true of many countries in the region but after having lived in East-Asia for many years I feel that Thailand stands above the rest when it comes to leisure, fitness and public sports.

CONTENTS

It’s just how the people carry themselves here. The weather and humidity can be a concern if you are

from the temperate zones but whether running solo or in a group in the many city parks or streets and narrow sois, you will be always be struck by how courteous and cheerful people are when they see you. All sorts of people will come out to show their support and even the monks get delighted with you and may bless you by spraying you with holy water. And the bigger the group, the more the appreciation. This is perhaps nowhere more noticeable than during the annual Bangkok Marathon, a multi-category event that attracts thousands of residents and tourists. With four fun-packed running levels on offer (a micro-4 km, a longer 10 km run, the middle of the road 21 km (half marathon), and of course, the full 42.2 km) – for me, this event is the perfect memorable one to end a year with.

CONTENTS

I’ve been competing in several sports events lately and because you need a lot of information to avoid injury, like running with an altered gait, I registered only two days before the marathon, and thankfully, the good folks at the National Jogging Association of Thailand, which was within walking distance from the ESCAP building where I work, gave me a number to compete with.

CONTENTS

To make us feel safe and cool, the organizers started the marathon at 3:00 AM and had us run above the traffic on the elevated expressway that was closed for all types of commuters for the duration of the run. Running a marathon is not humanly impossible but it does require a few sacrifices in terms of preparation. If you have a busy social calendar after work or a girlfriend, you’ll probably notice that you are spending less time with friends or her to get ready. You may also notice that you are leaving the office around dinner time, rather than burning the midnight oil as many of us do at ESCAP. Admittedly, I have not planned anything in particular by way of a training programme for this marathon but I am active in the weekly running and bicycling Bangkok and Pataya Hash and peloton communities, which have kept me motivated and helped me improve my 10,000-meter record, as well as improve my overall fitness and well-being.

CONTENTS

Because it attracts expats and locals from all walks of life, people who come with a diverse level of physical abilities, sometimes you’ll find yourself running an off-road hash run at endurance pace for up to 20 km, sometimes you’ll be sprinting a 5,000 meter dash in city streets with a guy nick named “Stevie Wonder” or “Dunkin Donut”, and at other times stopping and

walking with a woman we call “Splat”, all of which offer excellent and fun training opportunities for a 42.2 km marathon provided you do it twice or thrice a week as I do. This was a 3:00 AM marathon. No doubt because of the weather, which is usually a concern for those of us from more temperate altitudes -- it was a cooler 30 degrees Celsius (which is much better than a humid daytime 42). But, that meant waking up at 2:00 AM to go running, but again, why not; people do all sorts of (crazy) things on a Saturday night around that time; what’s wrong with going out to run, beats going drinking – its healthy, and I believe the perfect life-style supplement for those who want to help their bodies and minds cope with the rigours of the day-to-day office or house routines. Running combats the harmful side effects of stress, pollution and gives the body a real cleansing that boosts its immune system and does wonders to your heart and spirit, not to mention giving you a “runner’s high”.

CONTENTS

There was no sun beating down on us when we started and most of us finished just after sunrise.

CONTENTS

Actually, I felt a little drizzle at the start-line and the peacefulness of the early morning hours made you feast your senses on the city below you. Now, it was time to enjoy some speed and pavement pounding. Not before too long after the start, I was lucky to find Adam, a guy in his early 50s who kept my 4 to 5 minute kilometer pace, and stayed side by side with me; taking turns following behind or leading in front but all the while keeping both of us steady and strong through the first 20 km, which took us a little over an hour and a half – an hour and a half I barely noticed as we chatted the whole way. Just before the marathon, I ran into three Thai colleagues from ESCAP, three fit Security Officers, who became so excited when they saw me, and one of them even asked me how long it was going to take me to finish. Off the cuff, I said “4:30”, and sure enough, when I crossed the finish line, correcting for lost time, it was 4 hours and 30 minutes on the dot, proving that if you believe in something, it will believe in you.

CONTENTS

The marathon was well organized. There were water and Gatorade stops every 2 km. That meant you stayed cool the entire way and had plenty of water to keep hydrated. And watermelon was on offer after the 34 km mark, which is when many runners hit what is called the “wall”, like I did.

CONTENTS

“Hitting the wall” is a term used by endurance runners and cyclists to describe a sudden loss of energy caused by depleted sugar levels (glycogens) in the muscles and liver due to improper pre-race nutrition or race routine. Swollen feet and or toes and blisters also begin to take their toll by this stage. As alluded to above, the first half of the marathon was a breath, and was made even more pleasant by the sight of several fellow Bangkok Hashers, including someone who did the Sheraton Krabi Adventure Trophy just two weeks earlier with me. Coming back to the marathon, once I “hit the wall”, I began to notice my speed sagging and stomach becoming unsettled, not to mention a shoulder area pain that in order to lessen, I had to run with my right hand akimbo. Then you start hearing a voice in your head saying, “I can’t do it”. So, I countered with the words “but I can do it…just do what you could, just do what you could”, I kept telling myself over and over again that carried me through the last four 2km-markers taking me to the finish line.

CONTENTS

When I whizzed by the clock, I saw that I ran a 4:30 marathon and was immediately overcome by an amazing feeling that made my cry. I just had to acknowledge that feeling and it felt wonderful.

CONTENTS

Finishing a marathon in and of itself is a tremendous achievement and to finish in the time you had expected is rewarding. Now more than ever before, I feel motivated to go out and do it again, and do it better. My next goal is 3:40.

CONTENTS

Immediately after the marathon, I met up with some friends and went over what went well and what needed improving. While having a light meal that was offered by McDonald’s, and enjoying that amazing “runner’s high”, I learned a lot from the elite runners. The first 30 minutes after the marathon are crucial – called the “prime recovery window” – when your muscles will absorb 50% more carbs than in normal times to replenish lost nutrients and minerals fast.

You also needed to go for a walk or light run to reduce muscle stiffness and soreness, which I did -- I just walked home barefoot and crashed on the sofa. In analyzing my performance post-mortem, I also learned that I could have shaved 30 to 40 minutes from overall time had I ate before and during the race because the body burns up to 4 times its normal metabolic rate during the run. Thus, refueling on the run becomes crucial for maintaining your speed and desired level of performance. This can be done by carrying power gels and bars and gulping one down every 20 or 30 minutes. These are lessons I will take into account for the next marathon. Another lesson I learned was that my feet tend to swell up making my sneakers feel tighter. One way to avoid that is to run in a size bigger shoe, although that also has its downside, in terms of weight and stride.

CONTENTS

In addition, drinking cold water while your body temperature is higher than normal meant stomach cramps so I’ll ask the organizers to provide both cold and room temperature water the next time around. At home, I looked at my calendar for the year and saw the Laguna Phuket Triathlon just a week away. So, for now, I’ll just take it easy for next three days, maybe train lightly for two, and call it down time until the LPT.

Classic

Those of you who have previously read this column (presumably while stuck on some form of public transport with absolutely no other forms of entertainment available) will be familiar with its objective, namely to identify people whose general idiocy merits them a “virtual” seat on the ice and the good natured (?) ridicule of the circle.

CONTENTS

Initially, the intention was to concentrate on the behaviour of the broad hashing community and those in the Asia-Pacific in particular. However, it seems to me that many of the more noteworthy, moronic goings-on in the world take place among the nonhashing community. Whether this means that the average hasher is smarter than the average “civilian”

or just less likely to be caught and exposed in the popular press I cannot say, but even a brief perusal of the news items brought to my attention by my lovely research assistants here at Lolita’s Bar leads me to concur with the sentiments expressed in the title of this piece. I submit the following as evidence. Fourth Time Unlucky Here in my adopted homeland, Thailand - the land of diversity and refinement, my attention was recently drawn to a report in the Thai Rath newspaper. It states that police in Samut Prakarn province, on Bangkok’s southeastern fringes, had arrested a Thai man who had been mauled when he drunkenly tried to rape a dog, which had fiercely resisted his advances. It seems the man, identified as Toryip Rawang, age 33, had been drinking heavily before the incident (well there’s a surprise). He told police he’d noticed a brown female stray dog wagging its tail and “acting sexy” and had pulled it into some tall grass by the roadside.

CONTENTS

Unfortunately for him, the dog obviously had higher standards and proceeded to inflict on him a number of cuts and abrasions to the face and arms (at least he didn’t lose any appendages). The man told police that he always became aroused when he drank heavily (understandable, I guess) but did not have

enough money to afford a prostitute. He further admitted that he had previously “successfully” raped three other dogs. Police said Toryip had been given a rabies shot and was not charged with any crime, but he had fled his home in an apparent effort to avoid public ridicule. For his efforts, Khun Toryip is definitely deserving of a seat on the ice and a “downdown” should he ever emerge from hiding (but only one, in case he becomes aroused). I note that our man never stopped to consider that perhaps, if he didn’t spend all his money getting hammered with his mates, then he could afford some female company from the same species. Further, I am disappointed that, when questioned by police, he didn’t use the obvious defense i.e., “The bitch MADE me do it”.

CONTENTS

No Respect Also in the Thai news recently was the story of the winding up of a reopened investigation into the death of a Thai man in Samut Sakorn province. It seems that, despite the insistence of the parents of the deceased that his wife was complicit in the man’s death, Thai police ruled it a suicide. Let us consider the facts. Most married male readers of this column would surely know better than to bring “guests” home without telling their wives in advance. It seems that Amomthep Kongkham, tragically, did not. Apparently, the 26-year-old returned to his home on the night of December 4, 1998, accompanied by two young women.

His wife objected (she would, wouldn’t she) and was unmoved by Amornthep’s explanation that everything was alright since he had married the two newcomers and thought that the four of them could live happily together under the one roof from now on (whether or not our hero had been drinking remains, sadly, unrecorded). Finding his wife’s protests shrewish and unreasonable, and unable to cope with the ensuing arguments between the three women (what did he expect), Amornthep committed suicide by throwing himself off the top of a building the following morning. That is a cautionary tale if ever there was one, but what I find hard to accept is the cold-heartedness of the Thai police in not laying any blame at the feet of the wife. Surely a more accommodating attitude would have avoided this senseless loss of life as well as providing a visionary example of the way forward in marital relations. For this reason, a seat on the ice for the missus should she ever show up on the Hash, and a minute’s silence for Khun Amornthep.

CONTENTS

Right Priorities On a more uplifting note, my attention was drawn to a recent BBC news item from Russia. It seems that a team of Russian soldiers has completed a complex, exacting rescue task on the banks of the frozen Irtysk River near Gromsk. The team apparently worked tirelessly for seven days to recover ten beer kegs

from the back of a truck that went off the icy road in bad weather. Sadly the truck was unable to be saved and there was no mention of the fate of the driver. A seat on the ice is more than merited for men of this calibre if they ever appear on the hash. They should be used to it after all.

CONTENTS

Legal Eagles Turning from the former Soviet Union to the former British colony south of Papua New Guinea, I note that, in September, a government appeals board in Melbourne changed its mind and ruled that organisers of a lesbian festival could not, after all, limit attendance to just those lesbians who were born female. The board felt that this discriminated against transsexual lesbians. The female-born organisers had wanted to exclude ex-males in order to “preserve our identity and consolidate our culture”. Consider that for a moment: a man goes through all of the heartache, pain and suffering of a sex change to become a woman and then decides that he wants to have sex with...women. I think there is a joke somewhere in this about cutting out the middleman but I’m above making it (yeah, right). Enjoy the festival fellas and you’re all welcome to a seat on the ice next time you’re on the hash.

Department of Silly Names Finally, I couldn’t resist nominating the following people for a seat on the ice for having had the bad luck to receive the names they have. If any reader finds that following amusing then congratulations, you are as immature as I am. Garcon, a drink for each of these people: re-elected in December as Chief Minister of Delhi, India: The Honourable Sheila Dikshit, arrested in May for prostitution in Grove City. Ohio: Ms. You Suk Kim, killed in August in a village near Sihanoukville, Cambodia, as a result of having his testicles defensively squeezed by his battered wife: Mr. Ouch Yan. As Dave Barry would say, “I am not making this up.” On On to the next issue.
