Deidre D. Myers Deputy Secretary of Commerce for Workforce Development Office of Economic and Workforce Policy Oklahoma Department of Commerce Deidre Myers currently serves as the deputy secretary of Commerce for Workforce Development at the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. Her teams provide economic, demographic and labor data analysis to state leadership, develop and advise on economic policy formulation and perform business intelligence for recruitment and expansion. Her office leads numerous statewide initiatives to grow and upskill the state’s workforce. Previously, Myers managed state economic and community development programs, directed a national project for the Corporation for National and Community Service, administered the state of Massachusetts’ AmeriCorps program and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon.
Bill Millett Founder and CEO Scope View Strategic Advantage As founder and CEO of Charlotte, N.C., based Scope View Strategic Advantage, Bill Millet has dedicated his life-long career to economic development. Millet has served as executive director of two regional councils of governments in South Carolina and principal for development at a major architectural practice. Founded in 1996, Scope View delivers substantial and sustainable value to private, nonprofit and public clients in a broad range of organizational and business development areas. While Scope View’s work initially centered in the Carolinas and Virginia, its client base now includes organizations in 20 states and in the District of Columbia.
