The Crimson Hat ladies are going on an off-site outing to the Worcester Art Museum - Watercolors Unboxed. The experience will take you on an exploration of 75 years of watercolors—from 1880 through the 1950s—through exceptional examples of the medium. Drawn from WAM’s internationally renowned collection of watercolors, the exhibition will begin with a selection of 19th-century European watercolorists who influenced what would become a favored American art form, and will feature 50 works, including highlights by Childe Hassam, Winslow Homer, Rockwell Kent, and John Singer Sargent. Watercolors Unboxed will explore significant themes in the American watercolor tradition, demonstrating how American artists embraced watercolor as a way to elevate the landscape genre.
Price per person: $14 includes Worcester Museum admission.

MEMBER HOSTED EVENTS COMING UP
THE CUTTING EDGE: LAWRENCE CATHOLIC ACADEMY
JUNE 5TH | 6:15PM | CLUBHOUSE
The hosts of this private event have made a limited number of seats available for fellow Club members. The purpose of the discussion is to honestly address issues surrounding urban poverty and education, with Lawrence Catholic Academy, located in the City of Lawrence, Massachusetts. All of the school’s students, currently 450, receive federally funded free breakfast and lunch, after-school tutoring and programming on school days.
Moderated by Harvard Graduate School of Education Dean Long, legendary investor Peter Lynch will discuss with Rev. Paul O’Brien commonly misunderstood challenges faced by students living below the poverty line. Rev. O’Brien will offer insights into how Lawrence Catholic Academy educates, guides and supports its students and helps create a path for them to the middle class. Mr. Lynch will share why the education of children from impoverished urban families matters deeply, why early childhood education in particular is essential, and why supporting schools such as LCA is “one of the best investments I can think of.”
To register, please email Marlene and Duncan O’Brien at marleneobrien99@gmail.com.

QIFLOW SUMMER FIRE SERIES
Summer is time for the QiFlow exercises to change to the QiFlow FIRE series:
Summer is the time for expansion. This period is associated with the Fire Element and the energy system of the heart + small intestine. The light of the radiant sun is most vibrant and the natural world is at its peak of growth. To harness and align with this incredible energy, the summer flow incorporates exercises to uplift, energize and offers a deep connection to the natural world. Because heat and fire are associated with summer, the exercises are designed to cool and calm the heart energy, mindfully balancing the body’s need to over-expend.
