Welcome
from David Cooper, Manager Hi everyone, Our Spring brochure truly shows there’s life after Panto here at the Elgiva. The Spring season is jam-packed with exciting shows waiting for you to enjoy. If you’re stuck finding a gift for that certain someone there’s bound be something in our programme they love. We kick off with our traditional family panto Aladdin and the Christmas favourite It’s a Wonderful Life. We’ve expanded our Children’s Saturday morning cinema programme keeping your kids entertained without breaking the bank. If that weren’t enough we also have children’s theatre a-plenty with Horrible Histories, Alice in Wonderland and Pinocchio gracing the stage. In the New Year our cinema programme features Chiltern Film Society’s (CFS) season alongside new releases such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Fantastic Beasts, Laurel and Hardy with more booked as they are released. If you like music you have come to the right place. We have music to suit all ranging from Country, Soul, Rock 'n' Roll, Ska, Swing, Choral and much more. This season we’re collaborating with BURYFields and CFS to bring the Silent Disco, CC Smugglers and special screenings including Laurel & Hardy, Touching the Void and The Guilty. The increasingly popular live screenings continue to impress with some fantastic productions from the National Theatre, Royal Ballet, The Royal Opera and the ‘King of Waltz’ André Rieu already programmed. In addition to this we have comedy in the form of Rich Hall and ‘Just Like That’, a theatre homage to the great Tommy Cooper. Local talent is equally well represented by CMTC, Panda Players, Rare Productions performing as well as dance and drama schools Sargent & Plester, Di Burnett, Allstars Academy. Starting from January, following feedback from customers, we will be introducing inclusive ticketing. The transaction and booking fees will be included in the advertised ticket price. This will mean the price you see is the price you pay. This will be phased in gradually as new shows are booked. I look forward to welcoming you to the Elgiva and would like to thank you for the support you have given this wonderful venue.
We offer more than you think, what takes your fancy?
