Emerald Storm

Twisted Tales

A hilariously dark triple bill of riotous comedies that reveal the darkness under the domestic, the lengths people will go to for love and how to wash blood stains out of a carpet. Why have three strangers; a brash Bristolian, a Cockney wide-boy and an introverted blogger been summoned to play a deadly locked-room mystery? Who is the bandaged man, obsessively in love and held captive inside an upmarket flat, counting down the seconds until it’s time for her to return and ‘thing I can’t say’ to begin. How will two children’s TV presenters dispose of a corpse before time runs out? All they have is their wits, their arts and crafts skills and a foul-mouthed, criminal genius glove puppet.

Feel the immense power and thunderous rhythms of Irish dance brought soaring into the 21st century with this fresh take on the traditional. With the sensual fire of salsa, the smooth coolness of jazz and the prim precision of ballroom, audiences are immersed further with elite vocalists and live instrumentalists in this production of magic and wonder. Sinister elements threaten the Celtic Otherworld, a mythological heaven. The Queen of the Otherworld calls upon mortals, Emerald Storm, to save the mythical land from destruction. This is dance, singing and music at its best.

Written by Willy Russell, the legendary BLOOD BROTHERS tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences. Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multiaward winning BLOOD BROTHERS. Bill Kenwright’s production surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End, one of only three musicals ever to achieve that milestone. It has been affectionately christened the ‘Standing Ovation Musical’, as inevitably it “brings the audience cheering to its feet and roaring its approval” (The Daily Mail). The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.

Footloose One of the most explosive movie musicals in recent memory bursts onto the live stage with exhilarating results. When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, Ren is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. What he isn’t prepared for are the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, determined to exercise the control over the town’s youth that he cannot command in his own home. When the reverend’s rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. CILLA - THE MUSICAL is a spectacular and heart-warming musical adaptation of the critically acclaimed ITV mini-series based on the early life of Cilla Black, by BAFTA award winner, JEFF POPE (The Moorside, Philomena, From The Cradle To The Grave, Mrs Biggs, Little Boy Blue). The story follows the extraordinary life of the ordinary teenage girl from Liverpool, Priscilla White, and her rocky, yet incredible, rise to fame. The musical score is the ultimate soundtrack to the 60’s including Cilla’s greatest hits Anyone Who Had a Heart, Alfie and Something Tells Me, alongside a backdrop of the legendary ‘Liverpool Sound’. KARA LILY HAYWORTH plays Cilla. Following weeks of open auditions up and down the country, Kara fought off thousands of hopefuls to be named as the girl who would step into the Legend’s coveted shoes in the first ever musical about the star’s life. Executive Producer and Cilla’s son, Robert Willis, said of Kara: ‘I knew she was the one my mum would have wanted!’ In the role of Brian Epstein is TV and stage favourite ANDREW LANCEL best known for his portrayal of business man Frank Foster in Coronation Street.
