BLUE ORANGE THEATRE

LADY CHATTERLEY’S LOVER TICKETS: £13.50 (DISCOUNTS: £11.50)

Connie Reid, a cultured, independent thinker marries the emotionally distant Sir Clifford Chatterley. When she turns to the bed of the lowborn gamekeeper Mellors and experiences true passion and genuine intimacy for the first time, a dramatic love triangle and public scandal follows. D.H. Lawrence’s novel published in 1928 became notorious for its story of the physical relationship between a working class man and an upper class woman, its explicit descriptions of sex, and its use of unprintable words. Blue Orange Theatre’s production is both innovative and traditional, remaining true to the original novel but bringing the text to life using exciting theatrical devices to make the story both engaging and accessible. Warning contains full frontal nudity and scenes of an explicit sexual nature. blueorangetheatre.co.uk

HALF MOON PRESENTS A FLOODS OF INK PRODUCTION

THE GIRL AND THE GIRAFFE TICKETS: £7.50. FAMILY OF 4: £26

An uplifting show about friendship One day whilst Girl is playing in her garden, she spots something peculiar on the other side of the fence. Climbing up as high as she can to get a better view, she is surprised when she comes face to face with... Giraffe! As their friendship grows, Girl discovers that Giraffe isn’t very well. She tries everything she can to make him feel a bit better; putting on bandages, making a cup of tea, and even baking a truly magnificent cake, but she doesn’t get it quite right. Girl soon realises that Giraffe doesn’t need a plaster for a graze on his arm or a scratch on his knee. Giraffe is sad. Sometimes we need a different kind of plaster for the things you can’t always see. Charming puppetry, an enchanting soundscape and beautiful storytelling combine in this sensitive show about wellbeing and friendship, told from a child’s perspective. Running time: 45mins.
