Lady Chatterley’s Lover Connie Reid, a cultured, independent thinker marries the emotionally distant Sir Clifford Chatterley. When she turns to the bed of the lowborn gamekeeper Mellors and experiences true passion and genuine intimacy for the first time, a dramatic love triangle and public scandal follows. D.H. Lawrence’s novel published in 1928 became notorious for its story of the physical relationship between a working class man and an upper class woman, its explicit descriptions of sex, and its use of unprintable words. Blue Orange Theatre’s production is both innovative and traditional, remaining true to the original novel but bringing the text to life using exciting theatrical devices to make the story both engaging and accessible.
