From September, audiences will be able to enjoy screenings of contemporary releases on top of the range digital equipment, from the comfort of brand new seating within The Studio, also installed this summer. Nick Mowat, Head of Arts and Culture for Parkwood Leisure, who operate The Hawth on behalf of Crawley Borough Council, said “We are thrilled to be part of the new Curzon initiative. Not only is it a wonderful addition to The Hawth’s programme, bringing audiences the latest independent films, on state of the art equipment, but it also creates a worthwhile partnership with one of the most respected companies in the industry.” The new facility will offer customers, of all ages the chance to experience top quality films from children’s favourites to art house films and Hollywood blockbusters to world cinema. Crawley Borough Council’s Councillor Lanzer said: “It’s fantastic to see this new investment in cinema at The Hawth, which is just one element of wider improvements that will be made to the theatre later this year. Our partnership with Parkwood Leisure is not yet six months old and already I hope visitors are beginning to see the benefits.” The cinema will be launched with a weekend of big screen entertainment for all this September.
