On Friday, Oct. 20, Jerry and Kristen Braklow graciously opened their home for a reception with HBA members and Overland Park City Councilmen Terry Goodman, Dave Janson, Jim Kite and Curt Skoog. Chris Newlin, who’s likely to win his district, also attended. HBA members, many of whom build and do business in Overland Park, had the opportunity to speak with the councilmen and candidates one-on-one about important issues that affect the industry locally.

Getting to know local candidates has great value for the HBA overall, but more importantly for its individual members — not just in Overland Park but across the Kansas City area.
