Executive Committee

President’s Message Matt Kinning, HBAL President

I strongly encourage you to attend one of our upcoming in-person events. The HBAL staff has been working hard to bring back in-person events this fall. They are planning the annual Family Fun Night at the Kleinschmit farm on August 13 and the YBP Council will have their bean bag tournament that evening. We are also planning an Awards Banquet on September 28 at the Country Club of Lincoln. Please RSVP today for these events. I know I look forward to networking with HBAL members again. Contractors I visit with are busy with work and are booked out several months. While being busy is a good thing, I know the uncertainty and delays in the supply chain are causing many headaches for contractors. The good news, as I’m sure everyone is reading, is lumber futures are coming down. Hopefully, we’ll soon start to see the prices reflected locally. My family recently enjoyed a long weekend visiting the Black Hills. I hope everyone is able to take some time off to travel and enjoy the remaining summer!
