Bo Jones, HBAL President Summer is officially here...I hope everyone enjoyed both days of spring weather. It seems like it went straight from cold to hot. Thanks to HBAL staff and volunteers for another successful golf tournament on June 1. The tournament raised over $8,500 for the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation. If you are not familiar with how the Foundation benefits our community, I encourage you to look at page 18 of this issue of the Lincoln Business Builder. Over 60% of the funds distributed go to the education of students in the area of residential construction. We need to continue to support these areas to make sure we have qualified workers in the future. The 6th Annual Hog Roast is scheduled for August 10 and will be held at the Kleinschmit Farm. This year, the event is free to all HBAL members as a way to say “thank you” for the effort put forth by so many members of our association to promote and protect our industry. It is always a fun family-friendly event, so please plan to attend. We continue to work on issues facing HBAL and I am very thankful for the support and expertise from the group. Be sure to take some time off to hang out with friends and family as summer will be over before we know it. Happy 4th of July!!!

Thank you to Lincoln Glass for hosting a Hard Hat Happy Hour in May. It was great to see new faces. We are trying out a new morning networking event, YBP Morning Mixer hosted by ALLO Communications on Tuesday, July 10. We look forward Hayley Lane to being able to tour and hear more YBP President about ALLO. Be sure to watch your email for more details. The second annual Light the Way 5K is in the books! We had a great response and were able to double last year’s proceeds to the Lighthouse. This wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing sponsors. The Hog Roast is FREE this year!! You read that right, FREE! This is a fun family event. Mark your calendars for August 10 and come hangout, eat yummy food, have a drink, let the kids play in the bounce house while you take part in the Bean Bag Toss Tournament. We are limited to 16 teams and members must pre-register so contact the HBAL office today!
