President’s Message Justin Johnson HBAL President

Fall has arrived. Cooler temperatures have brought beautiful foliage, pumpkin patch excursions and my true weakness….candy corn. Maybe you’ve been hunting, enjoying high school or Husker football or roasting s’mores over a fire pit. Whatever it is, enjoy this change of season and use it to positively improve your quality of life. Speaking of fall, our Fall Parade of Homes was another great success. We had a lot of positive feedback from our participating builders and attendees. Thanks to all who participated. Our 9th Annual Sporting Clay Shoot was also successful with 29 teams participating. Although we don’t have the final numbers yet, this event has consistently raised thousands of dollars each year for the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation. We couldn’t have done it without all the generous sponsors, volunteers and participants. Our annual Toys for Santa Cop project will be held on November 5. Come on out and give us a hand building 70 Lego tables or help support the cause with a donation to the project. Other dates to remember include our Warming Up for the Holidays event at Blue Blood Brewing Co. on November 10, a CPR/First Aid/AED training on November 16 and the return of Dueling Pianos at our Christmas Party on December 8. As we approach the holiday season, let’s remember to take time and give thanks for all of life’s blessings. Get out and vote on November 8!
