Chairperson’s Message

1201 Infinity Court

by Jeff Bielenberg

It’s been a long winter! Even though spring is here, the present forecast is still showing signs of more of the same. I think we’re all ready for a change for better weather to get things moving! Thank you to Rita Cox and Fred Hoke for taking time to give us a presentation on the new Accela software Building and Safety has started using. This new software is going to be a time saver for all of us who have to take out and manage job permits. The evolution of technology is very exciting and a somewhat overwhelming learning curve at the same time. Thank you to everyone who participated in or attended the Chili Cook-off. We had a great turn out with over 190 people of all ages who came to support the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation and enjoy some great tasting chili! Unfortunately, there were no entries for this month’s Best of the Best Great Room/Family Room category. Our economy must not have provided the encouragement for families to pursue such an endeavor. Hopefully we can get an entry for next month’s Best of the Best Bathroom Remodel/ Renovation/Addition. The deadline for the Tour of Remodeled Homes sign up was March 15. We have 14 entries for this event which will open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28, 2013. Hours are 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. and the cost is $5 per person and free for children 12 years and under. Pencil in next month’s Remodelers Council meeting which will be a tour of Cornerstone Printing and Firespring. They are located in the old Gotcha Covered building on Infinity Drive.
