Chairperson’s Message

The end of the year is approaching us and as always the 2012 year has flown by. I have truly enjoyed my time as chair for the Remodelers Council. It has been an honor to be involved with such a great group of members and HBAL staff.

Thank you to all of the members who were able to attend our tour of Southlake Village for the November monthly meeting.

I heard the facades in the main hallway were neat replicas of actual buildings in Lincoln and several people commented on how the facility is warm and inviting.

The November Best of the Best category was Custom Cabinetry. The winner is Cabinet Craft with their walnut cabinets in the Niobrara River Ranch Cabin. Our final category for our Best of the Best contest will be Bar and Wine Cellar. Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Best of Best contest this past year!

The Remodelers Council will once again be collecting hats, mittens, gloves, etc. for a few of Lincoln’s Elementary Schools. Please keep this in mind as you start your holiday shopping!

Best of the Best

Best Custom Cabinetry Winner Cabinet Craft, Inc.

The Remodelers Holiday Party will be December 5 at Wilderness Ridge. The Ridge is a beautiful location for a holiday party. You can enjoy great food and a game of BINGO while visiting with friends and members. This year we are asking that members bring hats and mittens as a donation for our local elementary schools. Unfortunately many children do not have access to the basic necessities of winter and come to school without hats, mittens and coats. All donations would be greatly appreciated for the children in need!

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Next month features bar/wine cellars, so be sure to submit your photo of the best bar or wine cellar you have done or been a part of in the past year to the HBAL office no later than December 14, 2012 to be considered as the Best of the Best! Recognition will include a picture of the project along with your company name in the Step by Step publication and a spot on the HBAL website for one month.

Cabinet Craft, Inc. built and installed unique custom walnut kitchen cabinetry for the Niobrara River Ranch near Smith Falls State Park east of Valentine. The wood was harvested from the rancher’s land and the cabinetry has his brand engraved. This kitchen includes stainless steel appliances and the quartz countertop was done by Galaxy Countertops.

All the wood for this log cabin resort was also taken from the land and Cabinet Craft built and installed three other custom kitchens there in pine, burr oak and ash woods.

A lot of wooden furniture as well as bathroom cabinetry in various wood species were also done there by Cabinet Craft.
