Chairperson’s Message by Megan Dreyer

Happy New Year!! It’s hard to believe another year is behind us already! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays with family and friends! Personally, I feel like the time off during the Christmas holiday provides me the much needed time to stop and reflect a little on the blessings around me. I count YOU in those blessings. I truly feel the people I meet in this organization are driven, passionate, successful individuals, who also care deeply about their community and others around them! Let’s keep that spirit of diligence and generosity going forward in 2016! I’d like to welcome Tyler Reynolds to the HBAL office. He will be assisting with Remodelers Council events and helping the officers plan for 2016. As we all know Kayla and Jennie have been “manning the ship” on their own for a while now, so the extra help will be much appreciated. I’d encourage everyone to also offer up a few words of gratitude to these ladies for all the extra hours they have put in during this time of transition.

January Meeting

January 6, 2015 • 11:30 a.m. Prairie Creek Inn 2400 S. 148th Street Cost: $10 per person Please send your RSVP to info@hbal.org or call 402-423-4225 by December 31.

As we look to this new year, I would encourage involvement in our Remodelers Council. We hope to bring you many informative speakers and tours. I also believe that the interactions with each other during these meetings can be just as valuable as the events themselves. We all have gifts and can glean much from our fellow council members as we get to know each other better. Mark your calenders for our first meeting of the new year: On January 6, we will be a touring the Prairie Creek Inn at 2400 S. 148th Street. This is the old landmark home that used to sit at the corner of 70th and O Streets, which was moved and transformed into a bed and breakfast. If you’d like to get a sneak peak, you can visit their website at www.pcibnb.com. I hope to see many of you there! Cheers!
