Chairperson’s Message by Shawn Stranathan
It’s difficult for me to believe January is already here. It seems like just the other day I was reading Rick’s first message in Step by Step and now it’s already my turn. Fair warning to anyone reading this, I am not a talented writer and while I remember Rick saying something similar in his first message, he always did a great job with his messages and all his other responsibilities as Chairperson. Let’s all thank Rick when we see him for doing such a great job last year and I’ll try not to blow it this year! Hopefully, everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday season and I hope 2018 was a good year for all. Looking back, I am thankful for the many blessings I have. I also know I was faced with many “work” challenges throughout the year. Some of those were around rising material costs, labor costs and labor shortages to name a few. I have no doubt 2019 will bring similar challenges, but I am looking forward to facing them head-on. Here’s to making 2019 successful while hopefully enjoying another year of a strong and growing Lincoln economy.
