Chairperson’s Message by Molly Johnson

School is out and summer is in full swing! It’s a very busy time of year with lots of projects. Many include tricky deadlines to meet for graduation parties and family events while scheduling construction around clients’ vacations. This summer marks the 20th Annual Remodelers Council Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held at Wilderness Ridge on August 3. Registration forms have been sent out, so please get your team and sponsorship information to the HBAL office. This is a very fun event for all members to enjoy! TMCO provided a very interesting tour of their manufacturing plant during last month’s meeting. I think all members who attended were able to get a better idea of the services they offer and the capabilities of their custom work. Our next meeting will be June 6. Our annual picnic will take place in the HBAL parking lot. Hy-Vee will be grilling burgers and brats for all members and guests. Call or email HBAL with your reservations! This month’s Best of the Best project, is additions. Please email your addition project photos to Kayla at kayla@hbal.org. We would love to present a member with a certificate for the best project and highlight the winner in the next Step by Step! I hope to see you all at the picnic!

TP Run!

Bring Toilet Paper, Toothbrushes, Soap, Other Necessities to HBAL through June 29. The Remodelers Council is having its fifth TP Run (Toilet Paper Run) to help the clients of the Community Mental Health Center (CMHC). These clients are on fixed incomes, and after rent and medical expenses, often are left with very little money for the basic necessities. And, with a decline in the amount of items given from the Center for People in Need, donations from the Remodelers Council of Lincoln are even more helpful than ever before. Items that would be greatly appreciated by CMHC & its clients: • Toilet paper • Laundry soap • Shampoo • Toothpaste • Sanitary products for women • Bar soap for men • Bath gel soap for women • Cleaning supplies • Poly-grip Please pick up an extra roll of toilet paper or bar of soap on your next shopping trip, and drop it by the HBAL office before June 29. Thanks for helping to take care of our community!

TMCO Tour May 2nd, 2012 On May 2nd, 2012 the Remodelers Council met at TMCO and toured their facilities. TMCO is a metal manufacturing company that specializes in concept to completion metal manufacturing. It houses a number of state of the art machines. Members enjoyed lunch from Panera, then toured the facility.
