Chairperson’s Message by Shawn Stranathan
Wow, May went by quickly and summer is going to be here before we know it! For me, that means I need to find the time to get all the outside projects done around the house my wife has been asking me to do before it gets too hot. It’s also a good time to start talking to your employees about working safely in the heat. Drinking plenty of fluids (16-32oz/ hour), protecting your skin from the sun and taking breaks in a shaded area to let your body cool down are a few important things to remember to stay safe and avoid heat stress. Our May meeting was held at the Bob Devaney Sports Center where we were given a tour of the facility. In June we have one of my favorite summer meetings, the annual picnic at Antelope Park on June 19. Hopefully, we will have some nice weather.

Another fun event coming up is the Remodelers Council golf tournament on August 23 at Holmes Golf Course. Now is a good time to get signed up with your teams and/or sponsor the event. I hope everyone has a great June and I’ll see you at the picnic!
