The current turnstiles to school are pretty alright. Not the best but not the worse either. I’ll give them a 6/10. That’s a MEH. But do you know what’s coming up that is a 10/10? You’ve seen these in movies, you dreamt of having its ability, yes you heard that right! Teleporters are coming to Hwa Chong in the year 2050! You don’t have to worry about the human traffic burgeoning at 7.40am in the morning, nor the hassle of whipping out your EZ-link card to tap in. These incredible teleporters work like your good ’ol friend Siri. Just utter the words of your destination, and its dexterous slick invisible tubes will send you away in no time. But don’t get ahead of yourselves! You can only teleport to places within the school compound and not some fantastical dreamland. (We heard that it sends intruders to the black hole too!)

Sleeping on the class benches and in the common room is so 2018, get on with the time! You don’t have to DREAM about having warm and cozy places to take your long power naps or short breaks any longer. Because in 2050, these contemporary sleeping capsules will become a reality in Hwa Chong. These capsules cater to each individual student and can be set based on one’s sleeping patterns. (E.G. Playing ASMR or Making the pod soundproof!). Be careful not to sleep past your lessons though, or else you may activate its dangerous sleep alert. What about the cleanliness, you may ask? The automated cleaning devices stored in the machines maintain the freshness after each user- refilling its aromatic candle scents, plopping up its white fluffy pillows and vacuuming any uncleared waste. Don’t want to sleep? Feel free to utilise the plug-in TV with Netflix and Viu, satisfying your every entertainment need. These capsules are so multifunctional, I can’t wait to LAY my hands on it!

MÝSTÏÇ FÅLLS An interplay of marvelous reflections recoiling off the surface of its beauty. How the sweet slight scents of salinity from the freshwaters take control of my senses! This insanity towering over me, churning out rays of red, green, blue, yellow, I feel it teasing the sun’s usual rays. I’m wonderstruck by its ability to regulate the waters in its spiral like formation and its tranquil presence. This artificial installation sits in the centre of the central plaza, standing at a height of 50 metres, becoming the tallest waterfall to ever exist in the world (Jewel Changi’s waterfall coming in at a close second). If you want to take a short break from staring at your notes all day, catch its periodic light-sound show, which occurs every 30 minutes, each show spanning a total time of 10 minutes. The installation plays harmonious instrumental tunes from your comforting SODACHE songs, sending messages of peace throughout campus. Oh how we wish we have such an installation in our time now!

RËÅDÝBØT 365 Don’t be taken aback if you see metal objects whirring about school - chances are, it’s the ReadyBot 365 hard at work! Fitted with a vacuum cleaner at its base, and a spacious, Doraemon-like front pocket with all the cleaning supplies you could dream of, this trusty pal is here to make the school a cleaner place! They run on solar energy, so rest assured that they’re environmentally friendly. More than just picking litter and arranging tables, these multifunctional robots are also fitted with LED display screens flashing the date and time - in the age of rampant time travel, you just need to know when and where you are! Hopefully, the warm and friendly smiles on their front display will encourage you to pick up after yourself too.
