H oliday T ips and T ricks Nothing to do during the holidays?Try out some of these activities to make your holidays more meaningful!
1. DECLUTTER Is your room in a mess after Promos or A-levels? Tired of having to spend countless hours trying to search through your stuffed shelves and drawers? Today is the day to declutter your messy bedroom! However, if you are stuck with getting started on decluttering your bedroom, here is some advice: 1. Start small and focus on completing an area before moving to the next area. 2. Leave only the essential items and remove the rest.
2. PAINTING Do you have a persistent and unrelenting desire to create? Fret not! This holiday is a chance for you to unleash your inner artist. You can even recreate Vincent Van Gogh ?The Starry Night? without any artistic talent! There are many paint-by-numbers kit sets available online where you can purchase and spend your entire afternoon painting. These kit sets come with paint brushes, numbered acrylic paint sets and the artwork. Isn?t that convenient since you do not need to worry about not having the necessary materials at home? You can even invite your friends to paint the artworks together before doing a mutual swap! If you are interested, feel free to scan the QR code and print out the attached file to try it out for yourself!
3. Embr oider y If you have patience and a lot of time on your hands, you can start
your
own
embroidery
project.
There
are
many
beginner-friendly DIY kits online that will have all you need to make your very own artwork! You could also consider embroidering your canvas bags or clothing to give it a fresh update. Don't know what to get for your friend?s birthday? Make a personalized embroidery hoop for them! There are so many possibilities, so grab a needle and some thread and get started on your first project!
4. Gr ow a pl ant Growing an indoor plant is a great way to add some greenery to your room, and it can also be a therapeutic hobby!
Money Plant Once a week, or when soil feels dry to touch (do not over-water!) Place in shaded area away from direct sunlight
Cact i Once a week or less Place away from direct sunlight but position them in places with good lighting
Fit t onia Once every two days, ensure that soil is always moist (but not too much as the soil will water log) Place away from direct sunlight but position them in places with good lighting

IF YOU ENJOY EATING AND GAIN SATISFACTION FROM WATCHING OTHERS EATING, YOU HAVE PROBABLY HEARD OF MUKBANG VIDEOS. THE TERM 'MUKBANG' ORIGINATED FROM KOREA AND IT IS USUALLY DEFINED AS A LIVE-STREAMED EATING SHOW WHERE THE HOST BINGE-EATS. IN SOME CASES, THE VIDEOS INCLUDE THE COOKING PROCESS TOO YOU MAY WANT TO WATCH MUKBANG FOR A VARIETY OF REASONS, IT CAN HELP TO BOOST YOUR OWN APPETITE, RELIEVE STRESS OR IT CAN SIMPLY FOR THE JOY OF WATCHING OTHERS EAT BELOW ARE SOME MUKBANG CONTENT CREATORS IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE GENRE!
IF YOU LIKE SPICY FOOD, ONE MUKBANG YOUTUBER YOU CANNOT MISS IS DOROTHY. SHE MOSTLY EATS KOREAN DISHES, AND HAS A LOT OF SUBBED ENGLISH VIDEOS. SHE CAN EAT DISHES FLAVOURED WITH GHOST PEPPER POWDER WITHOUT FLINCHING!
IF YOU LIKE TO EAT A LOT BUT YOU CAN'T DUE TO CALORIES AND WEIGHT CONCERNS, YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK YUKA KINOSHITA OUT. THIS JAPANESE YOUTUBER IS FAMOUS FOR HER SEEMINGLY NEVER-ENDING APPETITE. KNOWN AS A OOGUI (WHICH IS JAPANESE FOR “BIG EATER”).
Our Mission Hi there! We are a group of 4 friends that aim to raise funds and awareness as well as recruit donors in support of the Bone Marrow Donor Programme (BMDP).
what we are doing This year, we have pushed out “The Observatory”, a series of four short videos, over on our Instagram page @thebluemoonproj. We analyse the problems faced in the process of bone marrow donation, why they exist, and what the BMDP has been doing to address the situation. By considering the perspectives of medical professionals, our organisation and the general public, we hope to provide an extensive view into what the purpose of the BMDP exactly is and raise awareness for the cause in general. The science and details behind marrow donation may at times be dull and boring. To this end, we have incorporated humour through social experiments and skits, as well as cute, animations to supplement engagement and aid in learning :)
Do check out our first video on Instagram (link on the right)! Soon, we will also begin our next initiative, "More Than Blue", which goes further in tackling misconceptions present in films and TV shows.
what are some common misconceptions? Some people believe that signing up as a donor would mean immediate donation. However, donors would first have to be matched to a patient looking for a transplant, which would be a miracle in itself. Even after the match, the donor will still be able to decide whether or not they wish to proceed. Others also have the misconception that marrow donation requires painful surgery. In reality, it is a relatively painless process with no known long-term side effects. Peripheral blood stem cell collection (PBSC), the most common type of transplant, is akin to a longer blood donation. One time, a donor even went to participate in his volleyball competition right after the procedure!
how to help If you are above 18 years of age, you are greatly encouraged to sign up as a donor! You may go to www.bmdp.org to request for a donor kit to be mailed to your home. Once the pandemic situation improves, our donor drives can continue to take place, where you can sign up on the spot! If you are under 18, don't worry! You can still pledge to donate by scanning the QR Code and filling up the form. Once you are of age, you will be contacted as a reminder to sign up! If you are willing and able to do so, please consider donating at their website. The BMDP relies solely on public funding for their operations, which require $3 million annually. Every dollar counts!
find us! @thebluemoonproj We hope to raise awareness through fun and interactive social media campaigns that can engage the youth. Concert Eclipse, an online concert of 4 acts featuring Isabelle Stables, The Buskards and more, was streamed live on our Instagram page over the course of 4 weeks in July. Do check it out if you missed the concert or are simply interested in our cause!
