BRIEF TITLE:

BA (Hons.) GRAPHIC DESIGN YEARBOOK The Brief

Background

Produce initial design proposals for the 2011 Graduate Year book that communicates the diverse, creative and professional quality of the work produced

The yearbook is an annual publication designed to showcase the graduating 3rd year. The book is distributed to Industry Contacts, potential applicants and visitors to the end of year show. We also use the yearbook as a marketing tool to raise the profile of the course with feeder colleges and the creative industries.

Your proposals should consider the print and digital delivery of the publication and further branding opportunities outlined below.

Considerations

In the light of this the Yearbook is a high spec, highly visible and professional publication that needs to communicate the practical and conceptual standards of the Graphic Design programme.

What do you want to say about the course and your time on it? What do the rest of the group want to say? What makes this course/year unique and how do you communicate this visually and in the selection of content? What is the underlying visual concept? The message is what? Who will want to know and how will they find out?

Mandatory Requirements The course and Institutions Name must be clearly presented on the cover. rd

Each 3 year is allocated 1 single double page spread containing samples of work, a personal statement and photograph. The yearbook should be produced to a standard square format of 210mm x 210mm Additional mandatory content will be discussed with the successful design team

Practical Considerations

Deliverables
