An Initiative of Pomona & District Community House

Hey everyone – Let’s clean up our litter act We are still being inconsiderate of the environment if the results of the Clean Up Australia Day rubbish collection is a guide. Dedicated volunteers gathered four tonnes of garbage from the forests around Pomona in just one day on 3 March. In town, 51 people collected bags from the War Memorial Rotunda and walked the streets and parks to gather six wheelie bins of rubbish – two containing recyclables and four full of non-recyclables. Organiser, Belinda Wedlock, thanked those who took part. Thanks are also due to Cr Joe Jurisevic for his efforts on the day.
