The District 6AAA coaches met with the media Aug. 11 in Cookeville to review the 2014 season, which could be the last for the current district, as the TSSAA voted to go to a different classification system for football for the 2015-'16 and 2016-'17 school years. With the votes tallied from two polls — the media and coaches — there is only one direction for CCHS and SMHS to go: but up. The media poll was Rhea County, Cookeville, White County, SMHS, Warren County and CCHS, while Rhea County and Cookeville tied for first, with White County third, SMHS and Warren County tied for fourth and CCHS sixth. Cookevi l le's Jimmy Maynord was the first to the podium. He is assisted by Chuck Gentry, David Foster, Jim Ledford, John Ledford, Brian Chambers, Jamie Angel, Justin Angel, Justin Qualls, Steve Hatcher, Drew Teague
