KNOTT END LIBRARY

We hope you have all enjoyed the recent spell of lovely weather, something we were all in need of in these times. We are looking forward to further easing of restrictions – until then keep up to date with all the latest information on libraries by visiting our website. If you only want to return books, you can still drop them onto a returned bookshelf during library opening hours, without entering the library building. If you enjoyed the books we chose for you in lockdown our Six of the Best collections are still available to order by completing the request form online, asking staff in the library or phoning the library. Free PC access is available in 45 minute slots. You can pre-book by asking staff or calling the library.

SCART Reading Challenge for Children

We have now launched our SCART Reading Challenge which will run until the end of September. We are shouting from the rooftops that this is free to join and we encourage every primary school aged child to register. Complete four tasks and read four books to receive a lanyard and three pop badges. The different zones include science, culture, active, and technology with activity ideas to keep everyone entertained and most importantly engaged in reading over the summer. Just pop into the library to join - it’s as simple as that! We are hoping to hold some activity sessions to coincide with SCART during the summer, however this will depend on the lifting of restrictions. Please just ask when you next make a visit.
